SEA vs DAL Dream11: WNBA is in its midway stage when it comes to the Regular Season and the action has been incredible as expected. Here is to hope that the league fixes its traveling issues, schedule, and also make sure that there are more teams than the current set-up to accommodate players like Tea’ Cooper who are missing from the scene. Anyway, there are still heavily talented players in the scene and they will clash when the Seattle Storm takes on the Minnesota Lynx.
The Storm has done a great job after starting with 1 win and 3 losses, but they have won seven of their nine games. They entered the game after beating the Wings 84:79 as Breanna Stewart nabbed 25 points and 8 rebounds. The Storm’s defense has been really on a high level. On the other hand, high-level isn’t the word you can’t associate with the Lynx. They have won just three of their 14 games and their campaign has been one of the worst this season. The Lynx lost the last game 84:89 despite a 23 points night by Nikolina Milic. The Lynx look vulnerable so can the Storm fight back?
Host: Minnesota Lynx Visitors: Seattle Storm Match Timing: 15 June, @ 06:30 AM (+05:30 UTC) Venue: Target Center
Storm’s defense is incredible
Storm has been one of the best defensive teams in the league and adding Gabby Williams has helped the matters. Loyd is an incredible defender whereas Ezi is an incredible help defensive player. The Storm has made sure that they keep their opponents at bay and they will need to continue this considering the top two teams in Sun and the Aces have been stellar.
And when you have a versatile scorer like Breanna Stewart and a brilliant inside-outside scorer Jewel Loyd form a strong duo. Bird can be a more than helpful playmaker whereas Magbebor has improved as an offensive player. The bench is full of veteran players and the Storm has built a strong team this season.
Lynx looks lost
Losing Sylvia Fowles has dented the Lynx efforts which was already struggling even with Fowles in the mix. She not only brings inside scoring, rebounding, and help defense, but she also sets hard screens to free up space for scorers. The bigger factor has been Napheesa Collier not being in the picture which has curtailed the team’s performance on both ends.
In the last game, the Lynx looked formidable with Milic in the lineup but the team looks lost on the offensive end at times and surely needs more from Jefferson and Dantas. Powers has had some more than respectable efforts but she has had her struggles too. How will the Lynx proceed from here on in a season that looks like a waste?
