ATL vs IND DREAM11 MATCH PREVIEW:

Indiana Pacers will be looking to extend their five-game winning streak when they host Atlanta Hawks in the NBA at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, in Downtown Indianapolis, Indiana, on Tuesday morning (IST).

Indiana Pacers:

Indiana Pacers extended their winning streak to four games with a thumping 37 points win over Detroit Pistons in the last game. It was their biggest win of the season by points margin which propelled the team to 3rd in the Eastern Conference table with a 24-12 record from the first 36 games.

The game was not canny by any means, particularly from pacers’ point of view. Victor Oladipo had a strange game. The former Oklahoma City Thunder player could only manage seven points, seven assists and five rebounds in the game. These are not the numbers that could be associated with a player of that calibre and talent.

However, Pacers’ players were all praising their star man.

Darren Collison, who ended up with a joint team-high 19 points in the match, said after the game that the team can’t keep on winning without Oladipo.

Victor is not at his usual best though since he returned from an 11-game injury lay off. He is attempting fewer shots, shooting less, but had adjusted his game with a different defensive approach.

And there are numbers to back that up.

Since he made his return from the knee injury, the 26-year-old is averaging just 16.1 points per game, while before the injury he was scoring points at 22.7 per game.

Atlanta Hawks:

Vince Carter rolled back the years and produced a vintage performance as Atlanta Hawks beat Cleveland Cavaliers 111-108 in the last match. The win was Hawks’ 2nd consecutive win which was the third such instance for Atlanta.

Hawks are under new head coach Lloyd Pierce’s guidance and are rebuilding. They have won five times in the last six games, and have taken their winning percentage to 0.314 for the season. With an 11-24 record, they may be sitting well outside the playoff positions but recent signs are that the franchise has made improvements from the last season.

Carter, who is 41 years of age, had a monster game and scored 21 points in the match. While Trae Young dropped 21 points, 9 assists and 3 rebounds in the game.

Regular Season Record-
Indiana Pacers: W-24, L-12
Atlanta Hawks: W-11, L-24

Players to watch out for:
Indiana Pacers:

Victor Oladipo – His number may have gone down since he came back from the injury but he is an integral cog of Pacers’ wheel. Even in the last 9 post-injury games, he has averaged more than 16 points which is what Pacers’ second best player is averaging this season.

Bojan Bogdanovic – The 29-year-old is having a good season up until now and is averaging 16.3 points per game which is four points per game better than his career average.

Atlanta Hawks:
John Collins – The 2017 1st round-pick is proving to be a shrewd addition to the squad which is trying to build for the future. The 21-year-old is certainly a star for the future but there are glimpses which show how big a future he can have. He is averaging 18.5 points per game this season.
Trae Young – The 20-year-old scored a joint game-high 21 points in the game against Cleveland Cavaliers as Hawks continued their resurgence. He could make a difference in any game.

INDIA FANTASY PREDICTION:

Indiana Pacers are flying this season and looks more of a team since Paul George left the franchise last season. They are third and have won games against big teams.
While Haws have turned their fortunes around in the last six games or so, and should be confident in this game.
But we are backing an Indiana win.
