Dejounte Murray James Harden BKN vs SAS Dream11

BKN vs SAS Dream11: With COVID-19 ranging once again, the NBA has had to adjust its protocols and allow teams to sign players on ten-day deals. Without these two factors, there is no way that the league could have fielded almost 99% of its games since the outbreak and that is a big achievement considering how other major leagues have suffered. And because the ball has kept hitting the hardwood, here we are, discussing the game between the Brooklyn Nets and the San Antonio Spurs in an Eastern-Western Conference Scenario.

The Nets have been struggling recently after being at the top of the Eastern Conference rankings for a major period. They are sitting at the second position at the time of writing and have lost four out of the last five games and often in a blowout fashion. The Nets defense has crumbled due to the conditioning issues created by the COVID-19 induced absences.

The Spurs are in a worse terrain. The team was finding more than decent chemistry but Murray got into the COVID-19 protocols and now four rotation players are in the protocols as well. This is why they have lost five out of the last six games and their much celebrated offense has finally taken a hit this season.

NBA Projections, Stats, & Analysis

Nets: Their defense is suffering
Well, it is strange for a Harden, Durant-led team to lose four out of five but we do live in strange times and well COVID-19 can hamper rhythms. Durant has been phenomenal all season long while Harden has also played well since late December. The issue hasn’t been the offensive end as much as the defensive end but yes, the offense is not fluid like before too. The Nets have given up too many baskets in a row and they have not played as physical as before. One of the reasons has been the lineup shuffling which creates miscommunication but I believe with Durant, the team will figure out a way to stifle the opponents’ offense. The Nets have some issues related to depth and to be honest, that can hurt them long-term.

Spurs: Some players need to step up
Dejounte Murray is one of the most talented offensive players right now, whose scoring is improving by each day and whose passing can set-up multiple position players, that is why he has continuously lodged 20+ points and 8+ assists. However, with Derrick White, Keldon Johnson, Doug McDermott, and Devin Vassell in protocols, the team has lost its both catch-and-shoot plus isolation players who can hit the perimeter jumper and also score in other manners. In this case, Lonnie Walker IV and Bryn Forbes need to step up their games and recently both of them have not shot well from the floor. Jakob Poeltl in the middle has been scoring 15 or so regularly but both Forbes and Lonnie will need to find a similar range because the rest of the team doesn’t have many regular perimeter scorers and major rotation players.

NBA Scores, Fantasy Basketball Top Picks

Dejounte Murray(SAS)
Points: 27
Rebounds: 05
Assists: 09
Steals: 03

Dejounte’s already toll-taking load has increased considering the major absences within the Spurs team and he is someone who can answer the call. He has scored 22 or more in four of the last five games while dishing 9-13 assists and grabbing 5-11 rebounds a game during that window. Murray is one of the favorites for the Star-Player in the Dream11 NBA scene.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 50-63

Kevin Durant(BKN)
Points: 29
Rebounds: 09
Assists: 07
Blocks: 01
Steals: 01

Durant leads the league in Points Per Game and well for someone who has done that before, this is a little surprise. KD has been scoring 30+ points a lot this season while grabbing 6-10 rebounds and dishing 3-8 assists per game regularly.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 50-63

Jakob Poeltl(SAS)
Points: 17
Rebounds: 06
Assists: 01
Blocks: 01
Steals: 01

Poeltl has helped the Spurs formulate a strong frontline attack with his finishing abilities. The Center has scored in the 15-19 range and has grabbed 12 or more rebounds thrice in the last five games.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 30-42
Jakob Poeltl BKN vs SAS Dream11

James Harden(BKN)
Points: 16
Rebounds: 09
Assists: 07
Steals: 01
Harden has been one of the best players in the league for many season now. After coming back from COVID-19 protocols, the guard stormed off for some 30+ points nights but has scored in the 16-19 range recently, while grabbing 6-8 assists, and 4-9 rebounds per game.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 37-51

Lonnie Walker IV(SAS)
Points: 13
Rebounds: 04
Assists: 02

Lonnie will need to expand his scoring range to provide the depleted Spurs team with a lift. He usually scores in the 11-13 range but I feel 15+ points is something that the team will need for him.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 20-30

Nic Claxton(BKN)
Points: 14
Rebounds: 06
Assists: 01
Steals: 01
Blocks: 01

Claxton has made the most of his increased minutes and has found lanes for high-quality shots near the rim. He has scored in the 10-14 points range while grabbing 5+ rebounds a game regularly.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 23-34

BKN vs SAS Dream11 Lineup Balancers

  • Keita Bates-Diop(SAS) bagged 9 points, 5 rebounds in the last game. Keita has usually figured in the 6-9 points and 4-7 rebounds range this season.
  • Jock Landale(SAS) chipped 8 points, 2 rebounds in the last game. Can Jock go past the 10 points mark here?
  • Patty Mills(BKN) bagged 3 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals in the last game. Mills has usually scored in the 12-18 points range when both Durant and Harden have been around.
  • David Duke Jr(BKN) scooped up 7 points, 3 rebounds in the last game. Will Aldridge replace David in the starting lineup? Or will David continue to get 18 minutes or so?
  • James Johnson(BKN) scooped up 6 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal in the last game. Johnson has hovered in the 4-6 points range usually this season.
  • Bryn Forbes(SAS) bagged 7 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal in the last game. Forbes hasn’t shot well recently from the floor. I think he has a chance to compile 15 or so but his shooting percentage is a concern.
