Al Horford dunking over Bruce Brown BOS vs BKN Dream11

BOS vs BKN Dream11: In the Eastern Conference, we have been blessed with a deep ranking system and all the top four teams remain in contention for the title. The Heat has won their first two games, the 76ers have done the same while the Bucks clinched their first game too. As expected, the Celtics and the Nets had an intense exchange and it took a game-winner from Tatum to decide matters.

The Celtics defeated the Nets 115:114 in the last game but this means that the Nets are not far away from the Celtics’ standards. Not having Robert Williams III can hurt the Celtics a bit but their defense is still airtight. The Nets will need more out of Kevin Durant whereas I believe their rotations are still a bit here and there this deep into the season. There are a ton of adjustments both teams will have to make but having an early home-court advantage surely benefits the Celtics. So, how will this scenario pan out?

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis

Another classic in making?

The Celtics won the rebounding battle, clinching 43 compared to the Nets’ only 29 boards. This is one of the major reasons why the Nets despite shooting a handsome 53% from the floor while clicking on 40%+ from the three-point line. The Nets also saw struggles from Kevin Durant as he shot below 40% and committed six turnovers, something that surely created a difference. However, Kyrie Irving was turned on and scored a game-high 39 points, draining six out of the ten triple attempts.

On the other hand, as expected, Tatum came firing off the gates. If Tatum didn’t make a buzzer-beating lay-up, the Irving effect would have been the headline so yes the Celtics had to earn this one considering they were down by three points with 39 seconds to go. The Celtics actually struggled in the last quarter as they only scored 19 points and gave away a nine-point lead that was there to begin the fourth quarter.

Apart from Tatum’s 31 points, Smart, Horford, and Brown had at least 20 points and Horford also grabbed an important rebound with around 12 seconds to go. The rise in Horford’s production is a welcoming sign for the Celts, especially considering they are missing Robert Williams III. Talking about the Nets, Nic Claxton had a solid night as he scrapped a ton of points, rebounds, and blocks. Goran Dragic made a solid case for more minutes as he dropped 14 points off the bench. Seth Curry’s offense has disappeared but he is earning minutes due to his fight on the defense.

Fantasy lineup related tips

This is a tricky fantast scenario. It is tricky to choose from Durant, Irving, Tatum, and Brown. For the Nets, Irving has rather been a safer bet, especially as a scorer as Durant has had some so-so games. For the Celtics, Brown can be a strong option but it is tough to overlook Jayson Tatum more often than not. Marcus Smart, Derrick White, Nic Claxton, and Al Horford are terrific floater options and Claxton has been a reliable option as someone who is not in the upper brackets. Goran Dragic has made the case to be chosen over Seth Curry in the last game while Andre Drummond’s stocks may have suffered a bit.

Jayson Tatum (BOS)
Points: 31
Rebounds: 04
Assists: 08
Blocks: 02
Steals: 01
Tatum made the last-second layup to lift the Celtics and shot 9/18 from the floor, while also sinking ten free throws and also supplying strong defense as usual. He can be in 28-36 points, 5-8 rebounds, 4-6 assists, and 1-2 steals/blocks range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 44-56

Kevin Durant(BKN)
Points: 24
Rebounds: 04
Assists: 03
Blocks: 01
Steals: 01
Small Forward Kevin shot just 9/24 in the last game and also missed a three with 15 seconds to go. However, he is someone who knows how to recover from a poor shooting night. I believe in 27-34 points, 5-7 rebounds/assists range. Kevin is usually a candidate for Star/Pro Player in the Dream 11 NBA Fantasy scenario.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 38-50

Jaylen Brown(BOS)
Points: 23
Rebounds: 05
Assists: 03
Steals: 04

Irving shot 12/20 from the floor in the last game and almost carried the Nets to a big win through his high-scoring ways. Irving has rather outscored Diurant these days but I see the Celtics closing on him here. I believe he will be in 21-26 points and 5-7 assists range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 36-60

Marcus Smart(BOS)
Points: 20
Rebounds: 07
Assists: 06
Steals: 02
Defensive Player of the Year Marcus got cooked up by Irving in the last game and I see him coming with a much better effort here. He did have a solid all-around game and I expect more of the games. Here, I think he will be in 16-22 points, 5-7 rebounds, and 6-8 assists range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 28-41

SF Brown is a solid defender, who has been playing multiple positions despite being a 6 feet 4 inches player, he had some solid offensive outings lately but in the last game, he had a silent offensive night. I expect a 8-13 points, 4-6 rebounds, and 3-5 assists range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 17-28

  • Al Horford(BOS) had 20 points, 15 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal in the last game.
