BOS vs PHI Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:

Philadelphia 76ers will look to extend their four-game winning run when they host Boston Celtics in a battle between two of the best teams in the Eastern Conference regular season match at Wells Fargo Center Philadelphia, in Philadelphia, on Thursday morning (IST).

People still see the Western Conference as the real quarry of teams with pedigrees to go all the way. Of course, Golden State Warriors are the main reasons why this notion carries so much weight. And it’s no exaggeration as the Dubs are too good a team, boasting some of the best talents in NBA.

However, the Eastern Conference is no pushover. Not anymore. Not even after LeBron James decided to leave for pastures new in the West. This is the season when the teams in the East are rising up, staking their own claims to be the best Basketball team in the world. But surprisingly, Boston Celtics are not leading the charge!

Two such teams were in the action when Philadelphia 76ers took on Milwaukee Buck at Fiserv Forum on Sunday. Not only it was a match between the top two teams in the East, but two players, one each in the respective team, went head to head in a battle billed as the potential MVP.

Bucks were favorite in that match, and all that for their incredible home form all season, which was 27-5 prior to that match.

But it was Embiid’s Sixers who recorded a statement win on the road, winning the match 125-130 behind his monster 40 points and 15 rebounds display. This could be a one-off game but to win an away game at the home of your closest rival, may give the whole team an unparalleled belief going into the business end of the season.

With the win, the 76ers improved their season record to 45-25, and remain 3rd in the Eastern Conference.

Boston Celtics, meanwhile, are still a few games away from securing a playoff berth. As things stand, they are 5th in the Eastern Conference with a 43-28 record in the regular season.

The Greens went down against Denver Nuggets 105-114 at TD Garden.

Kyrie Irving led the charge for this team, scoring a game-high 30 points. Al Horford, who was doubtful before the match, scored 20 points.

Regular Season Record-
Philadelphia 76ers:
W-45, L-25
Boston Celtics:
W-43, L-28

Players to watch out for:

Philadelphia 76ers:
Joel Embiid –
Had an injury-plagued start to his career, and at one point it seemed as if Philadelphia are about to give up on him. But it never happened, and look how Sixers’ perseverance with him is paying off. The 25-year-old is now the best Basketball player in Philadelphia. The 7-ft Center is averaging MVP caliber stats this season, 27.3 points and 13.6 rebounds per game.

Tobias Harris – The inclusion of former Los Angeles Clippers has made Philadelphia 76ers a super-team in the Eastern Conference. He has lived up to his billings, racking up the team’s 2nd best numbers since switching his loyalties in the mid-season. The forward is averaging 19.3 points per game.

Boston Celtics:
Kyrie Irving –
The Superstar point guard is more than capable of leading his team all the way towards the ultimate glory. He is a winner having won the NBA crown with Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016. Celtics will hope that the 26-year-old continues to perform at a level he can in every game. He is leading the Greens with 23.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 7.1 assists per game. In the last three matches, he has scored at least 30 points in each game.

Jayson Tatum – The young prodigy is Boston Celtics’ 2nd best player in terms of points per game and in other parameters as well. The 21-year-old is averaging 16.0 points per game, and 6.2 rebounds per game for the Greens in the 2018-19 season.

BOS vs PHI Dream11 Fantasy Team:

INDIA FANTASY PREDICTION:
In the most recent meetings, Boston Celtics have a near-monopoly in this fixture, having won 261 times against 186 losses against the Sixers. This season, the results went in the familiar direction as well as Greens won all the three meetings against Philadelphia.

So Celtics have the psychological edge over Joel Embiid and Co. But with both the teams qualifying for the playoffs and thus in a position to face each other in the post-season, Sixers will be hoping to end their barren run against the most successful franchise the NBA history.
A win for the hosts is our call.
