Boston Celtics will look to get their season underway when they host reigning NBA champions Toronto Raptors at TD Garden. The Greens were handed a defeat in the season opener as Philadelphia 76ers beat them 107-93 at Wells Fargo Center, reasserting their claim as one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference.

The Sixers did almost a perfect job on the Celtics, bullying them on the rim and outside the arc, with the Greens could never really cope with their extra height. Kemba Walker was reduced into a shoddy player. He didn’t turn up at all. The season is long though, and the 17-time champions will have a lot of games o sort things out.

Toronto Raptors, meanwhile, started their defense without the player who played a starry role in landing the first NBA title up in North. The champions had to dig deep though as the game ended in a tie after the regulation time. the win was almost confirmed when the hosts opened the overtime with an 8-0 run and eventually beating the New Orleans Pelicans 130-122 at Scotiabank Arena.
