Las Vegas is known as “Sin City”, however, for some, it is a matter of furthering their profession in basketball through the biggest basketball league in the world. The NBA Summer League hosts the game between Dallas Mavericks and Utah Jazz. More about DAL vs UTA Dream 11 will be given below.
MGM Resorts Las Vegas Summer League holds different meanings to different players. Young players who have a roster spot look to use it as training and prove their worth before the Preseason or Regular Season. On the other hand, some players try to make a comeback, others who are undrafted or play overseas or in the G League showcase their talent to gain a roster spot. In this game, Mavericks come with a lot of international flavors, and the Franchise has historically been a hotspot for non-American players so it is no surprise. The Mavericks may have some vacancies to fill in their roster and will look for a player or players who can bolster their bench strength. A lot is at stake for the players trying to make an entry in the league, like LJ Figueroa who went undrafted. On the other hand, Utah is already strong in all positions and they would see this as an opportunity to develop players like Udoka Azubuike, Juwan Morgan, and Forrest.
Match Timing: 12 August, @ 06:30 AM Venue: Cox Pavilion, Las Vegas

Trent Forrest (last match stats) Points: 10 Rebounds: 07 Assists: 07
1. Tyrell Terry Points: 22 Rebounds: 02 Assists: 03 Terry is a PG and he is a guard in a team with Luka Doncic, which means if he ever gets substantial backup minutes, he has big shoes to fill. The 6 feet 2 inches PG has lighting dribbling and he has a pretty shooting touch. However, will he be able to earn minutes in a team that may seek more established options in the Regular Season? The reason why he may not get a big chance to get in those minutes is that Luka signed a max and would want to pursue championship straight away, it means no time anymore to pay attention to developing players. However, in the Summer League scenario, he is a candidate as the Super-Player in the Dream11 Fantasy basketball scenario.
2. Udoka Azubuike Points: 08 Rebounds: 08 Assists: 00 The PF may not hear his number being called much this season as the Jazz has a solid frontcourt of Favors and O’Neale. However, this is a learning opportunity and a chance to keep his legs fresh. Udoka is an athletic PF who has a throwback feel, playing hard inside and gobbling rebounds. The high-flying Azubuike can be chosen as a Pro-Player in the Dream 11 Fantasy scenario.
3. LJ Figueroa Points: 12 Rebounds: 09 Assists: 02 LJ is fresh off college and already had some success in his young career, after being named twice in the National roster of Dominican Republic basketball. He is a multi-faceted Forward who can finish on fastbreaks and also pop some shots from long range. LJ also brings rebounding and has decent handles as a Forward.
4. Trent Forrest Points: 10 Rebounds: 07 Assists: 07 Trent is a two-way player for Jazz and opportunities like Summer League are important for the PG to solidify his deal. He is a shifty guard who can do multiple things and places a lot of premium on grinding out plays and play at his best.
5. Nate Hinton Points: 01 Rebounds: 08 Assists: 06 Hinton is an SG who plays with a lot of flares. He is on a two-way contract with Mavs and it is difficult to see how he fits in their scheme long-term. Nate might see a new home soon but he can be a serviceable Guard who can perform multiple roles.
6. Paul White Points: 10 Rebounds: 02 Assists: 00
7. Eugene Omoruyi Points: 16 Rebounds: 06 Assists: 01
8. Juwan Morgan Points: 05 Rebounds: 04 Assists: 03
