DAL vs UTA Dream11 Prediction NBA Live Fantasy Basketball Dream11 Team, Top Picks and Tips for Dallas Mavericks vs Utah Jazz

DAL vs UTA Dream11: The Playoffs are throwing volleys at fans, critics, writers, observers, and readers of the game. We have seen the scoring go down drastically due to which a lot of Fantasy Scenarios have turned upside down. As the scenarios turn upside down, we have to take a close look at the roster combinations and see what sort of adjustments the teams will make. Surely, the Dallas Mavericks have some adjustments to make as they take on the Utah Jazz.

The Jazz held on to a 99-93 win in a wild finish as the rebounding battle was taken by the Jazz. But of course, not having Luka Doncic made Mavericks’ offensive sets readable and without him, closing games have been tough before.  The Jazz made sure that they don’t give away much ground late in the game and having Rudy Gobert ensured that the defensive end is tight and rebounds are plenty. Luka Doncic is “Doubtful” for this game but the Mavs’ effort was strong without him.

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis

Low-scoring thrills

Rebounding battles are central to any NBA affair but when it is a low-scoring one, their importance only increases. This is why the Jazz was able to hold out because Rudy Gobert led the league in rebounds per game and ensured that the missed shots are captured to limit Dallas’ opportunities. With Gobert boxing out, Bogdanovic, Conley, O’Neale, and Mitchell also bagged multiple rebounds while Whiteside kept the theme ticking off the bench.

Jalen Brunson had to take some tough shots in the absence of Luka Doncic and the physical Jazz forced a ton of misses as the Guard shot below 40%. Dinwiddie did have a strong driven game and ended up with 10 made free throws and if Doncic doesn’t play here, these two will have to shoot better than 40%. With the lack of offensive rebounding, they will need to be efficient.

Donovan Mitchell had a 30+ points night but he shot around 33% and was forcing the matters at the time. The Jazz would have lost if Bojan Bogdanovic didn’t score 26 points at a more than respectable shooting percentage while Gobert concentrated his energy more on the defensive end. Mike Conley did well at the offensive end.

The Forward duo of Finney-Smith and Reggie Bullock combined for 29 points and they did their parts well. If they take this momentum into the second game of the series, the Mavericks may be able to close out the Jazz. However, it will be up to Maxi Kleber and Dwight Powell to keep Gobert off the boards and try to produce second-chance points. The Mavericks desperately miss Luka Doncic.

Fantasy scenarios

Donovan Mitchell showed his fantasy value as he led all the scorers, bagged rebounds, and also dished a decent amount of assists. If Doncic doesn’t play, he will be expected to finish as the best scorer again. Gobert’s rebounding work clearly makes him a favorable pick and although he didn’t score a ton, his shot-blocking helps fill the fantasy stats. He can up his offensive game here and bring further value. Bojan Bogdanovic again showed he is a reliable Fantasy pick and made his mark. Clarkson is rather a risky pick considering he just played 19 minutes in the last game.

From the Mavs’ side, both Brunson and Dinwiddie emerged as reliable pick-ups, scoring a ton of points whereas Dinwiddie also grabbed a bunch of assists. On the other hand, Dorian Finney-Smith and Reggie Bullock can act as brilliant filler players and the same goes for Maxi Kleber who was strong on the rebounding end. If Doncic doesn’t play, then it must have one among Brunson or Dinwiddie in the fantasy scenarios.

NBA Scores, Fantasy Basketball Top Picks

Donovan Mitchell(UTA)
Points: 32
Rebounds: 06
Assists: 06
Steals: 01
As expected, Mitchell finished as the best scorer in the last game and despite a 10/29 shooting night, he will not hesitate to put up a ton of shots here against the strong Mavs defense. I expect a 29-34 points, 4-6 rebounds, and 4-6 assists range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 34-47

Jalen Brunson(DAL)
Points: 24
Rebounds: 07
Assists: 05
Crafty Jalen had a big responsibility in absence of Doncic and despite shooting below 40%, he will be confident of having another strong game to see Mavs through. I expect a 20-25 points and 4-6 assists range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 28-40

Rudy Gobert(UTA)
Points: 05
Rebounds: 17
Assists: 00
Blocks: 03

Center Rudy was keeping the Mavericks off the boards and as a leading rebounder and Defensive Player of the Year, he will be up for another physical battle. I expect a 13-18 points, 15-19 rebounds, and 2-4 blocks range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 32-47

Spencer Dinwiddie(DAL)
Points: 22
Rebounds: 04
Assists: 08
Steals: 01
Guard Dinwiddie was aggressive in the last game while driving to the hoop but shot 0/4 from three-point line, which he will need to improve. I expect a 19-25 points and 6-8 assists range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 20-30

Bojan Bogdanovic(UTA)
Points: 26
Rebounds: 05
Assists: 04
Steals: 01

Sharpshooting wing Bojan continued to impress with his high-scoring ways and had a solid all-around game, shooting 11/20 from the floor. He can be in 19-26 points range here.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 25-44

Dorian Finney-Smith(DAL)
Points: 14
Rebounds: 05
Assists: 01

Finney-Smith is an elite Forward defender and his impact was clearly up in the last game, apart from that, he has been providing decent offense too. I see a 12-16 points, 4-7 rebounds, and 1-2 blocks/steals range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 18-26

  • Jordan Clarkson(UTA) had 10 points, 1 rebound in the last game. The Guard saw reduced minutes but I see more action here and him to be in 13-19 points range
    Expected Fantasy Points Range: 22-32
  • Royce O’Neale(UTA) had 3 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists in the last game. The defensive specialist is not a big offensive player and I expect a 4-6 point sand 4-6 rebounds range here.
    Expected Fantasy Points Range: 10-18
  • Maxi Kleber(DAL) had 10 points, 4 rebounds in the last game. Tough Power Forward and strong rebounder Kleber can be in 6-11 points and 5-8 rebounds here.
