DEN vs POR Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:

It’s a battle between the two Western Conference teams as Denver Nuggets host Portland Trail Blazers in a regular season NBA match at Pepsi Center, in Denver, Colorado, USA, on Saturday morning (IST).

Denver Nuggets returned to the winning ways after they beat San Antonio Spurs 113-85 at Pepsi Center.

But the match was marred by an incident which happened after just one minute into the game. Spurs’ legendary manager Gregg Popovich was ejected after just 63 seconds into the match. This was the fastest ejection in NBA history. Though it’s still unclear what made Popovich earn the technical foul, certainly he wasn’t happy with the referee’s call.

Spurs were certainly not the same team without Popovich as Nuggets produced one of their best offensive plays this season.

Nikola Jokic had another double-double, scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds, while four more players touched the double digits mark. Monte Morris and Malik Beasley both scored 19 points each from the bench.

It was a crucial win for Nuggets as they managed to keep Houston Rockets at by for the 2nd place and went one game closer to clinch the home court advantage in the playoffs.

“Fourth-best defense since the all-star break and then you get your offense going, this is a team that we envision going into the postseason that’s going to allow us to be a really dangerous team,” Nuggets head coach Michael Malone said after the game.

Portland Trail Blazers meanwhile improved their season record to 50-28 after mauling Memphis Grizzlies 116-89 in a one-sided match at Moda Center.

Damian Lillard had a double-double, 20 points, and 10 assists, while Enes Kanter had the game’s highest points, scoring 21 points along with 15 rebounds.

Regular Season Record-
Denver Nuggets:
W-52, L-26
Portland Trail Blazers:
W-50, L-28

Players to watch out for:

Denver Nuggets:
Nikola Jokic – A player with as wide wings as you can imagine. This has been some season for the big Serbian. Not only he is racking up a career-high 20.2 points per game this seaosn, but the 24-year-old is having a two-way effect on the team. Look at any stats, and he is there, making team-high efforts in almost every department. To make matters worse for Portland, he has scored at 27.5 against Blazers.
For Nuggets to go deep in the post-season, Jokic has to continue pouring good numbers.

Jamal Murray – Almost every player on Nuggets roster is having a personal best season. Jamal Murray is one of those players who has taken their game to new heights. The 21-year-old is racking up 18.3 points per game this season.

Portland Trail Blazers:
Damian Lillard –
Portland’s best player by some margin, and it has been the case for a few years now. The team wouldn’t have been here had it not for Damian Lillard’s incredible consistency this season. The 28-year-old is close to 30 points per game in the last 10 matches or so, which shows that he can touch any lofty height in his career. The 2012 round-one pick is averaging 26.3 points per game.

Enes Kanter – With Jusuf Nurkic missing out on the action these days, Enes Kanter has done a little bit of scoring of late. That’s because of the increase in the extended minutes on the court he is being given by the head coach.
The 26-year-old has a good record against Denver Nuggets, socring at 17.0 points per game against them.
