DEN vs TOR Dream11 NBA Team Prediction – Fantasy Team News
Denver Nuggets vs Toronto Raptors

Match Timing: December 17, 2018, @ 06:30 AM IST
NBA Regular Season
Venue – Pepsi Center
Capacity- 18,007

Denver Nuggets will be looking for a statement win when they host Eastern Conference giants Toronto Raptors at Pepsi Center, in Denver, Colorado, on Monday morning (IST).

Denver Nuggets:
Fireworks erupted inside the Pepsi Center when Denver Nuggets hosted Oklahoma City Thunder in an NBA match. The Nuggets’ newly found aggression, one of the reasons for their giant rise this season, took a nasty turn as Russell Westbrook and Jamal Murray acted as a sparring partner in a match billed as a playoff encounter which may be fought come the post-season.

Thunder, who came into the match after losing 118-114 against New Orleans Pelicans, started the match on 17 wins against Denver’s 18 who are leading the Eastern Conference table. The visitors had the chance to level things up and move back to the top of the table.

But it was the hosts who started strongly, winning the first quarter 39-32 and went into the break with an eight-point lead. The third and the fourth quarter lacked enthusiasm from both sets of players as there were many momentum-shifting plays.

Toronto Raptors:
Kawhi Leonard returned to the matchday squad but couldn’t save his team from the jaws of defeat as Toronto Raptors fell to 122-128 defeat against Portland Trail Blazers on the road.

Raptors were without Kyle Lowry and Jonas Valanciunas in the match and their absence was felt time and time again as the visitors looked fragile on both ends of the court. Blazers started the match by winning the first quarter 28-23 and never were in real danger of scuppering their lead at any point in the game.

Toronto did try to script a comeback in the 2nd half by winning the 3rd quarter 39-33 and thus cutting the deficit to just two points going into the penultimate quarter. But nothing was destined to go right for Raptors on a night when their best player Kawhi Leonard endured such a difficult night.

The 2014 NBA finals MVP did score a match-high 28 points but his first-half display of 0 field goals, and only three points at halftime, everything just looked a bit off from the outset.

Regular Season Record-
Denver Nuggets: W-19, L-9
Toronto Raptors: W-23, L-8

Players to watch out for:
Denver Nuggets:
Jamal Murray – The young Guard is racking up points at 17.4 points per game this season for Denver Nuggets. The 21-year-old scored 22 points in the last match to help his team to a win over Oklahoma City Thunder.
Nikola Jokic – The 23-year-old is dropping 16.6 points per game, also dropping assists and rebounds at a remarkable average of 7.2 and 9.9 per game respectively. You may not find many players capable of matching his all-around game in this particular match. And the fact that he will be in front of his own fans, makes him an indispensable part of your NBA fantasy aspirations.

Toronto Raptors:

Kawhi Leonard – The 2014 NBA finals MVP is finally showing the signs to return back to his very best. The former San Antonio Spurs star is racking up 26.1 points per game, rising to 28.8 in the last 10 games. It’s a sign that he is hitting the heights, and one of the big reasons why Raptors are at the top in Eastern Conference at this moment.
Serge Ibaka – There is Kawhi Leonard and then there are many in Toronto Raptors’ team who are performing almost at the same level, Serge Ibaka is one of them. The 29-year-old star is averaging 16.4 points per game, which is way higher than his career average of 12.2 points per game.

Denver Nuggets:
Injured – The injury list is as big and brutal as it can be for Denver Nuggets at any point in the season. The hosts will be without at least five key players in this match – Will Barton (Hip injury), Gary Harris (Ankle injury), Michael Porter Jr. (Back injury), Isaiah Thomas (Hip injury), and Jarred Vanderbilt (Foot injury) all have been ruled out due to their respective injuries.
While Paul Millsap will also be missing the match with a toe injury.
Questionable – None.
Suspended – None.

Toronto Raptors:
Injured – Jonas Valanciunas was a big miss against Portland Trail Blazers and the 26-year-old will be missing this match as well with a thumb injury. He has gone under the knife and is expected to spend time away from the action.
While Norman Powell remains an absentee for Raptors as the 25-year-old star is suffering from a shoulder injury.
Questionable – Kyle Lowry missed the match against Blazers but could make his comeback against Nuggets.
Suspended – None
