DET vs LAC Dream11: The NBA season has been setting its motion regularly each day and what a fun-filled season this has been like every other one since 1948. As usual, we see elite teams establishing their hold over the top rankings but multiple Conferences remain wide open and the Suns have kept on expanding their grip over the first position in the league and have been the only team to rack up 50 wins or more for some time now. The Play-in tournament battle has picked up and with that in mind, let us jump into the game between the Detroit Pistons and the LA Clippers.
The Pistons have been struggling throughout the season but they have certainly improved by leaps and bounds recently. They are yet to even win 20 games but this season has been more about the development of young talent than anything. As the season unfolds, some players have done a terrific job to improve.
On the other hand, the Clippers have done a brilliant job of being around the 50% win mark. They are one game above that mark and although it may not look too impressive, it has been a huge achievement considering how short-handed they have been all season long. The team will look to hover around the 50% win mark and hope George returns soon. Host: Detroit Pistons Visitors: LA Clippers Match Timing: 14 March, @ 12:30 AM Venue: Little Caesars Arena
Scenarios for both teams Pistons’ improvement: The Pistons have done a great job of increasing their win count since All-Star Break and have beaten some Playoffs squads too. They have won a ton of close games recently and their defense has especially been admirable. Earlier, the team was getting blown out by 15+ points on a regular basis but lately, they have kept it close and have given the opposition a lot of fight. Although the team is far away from the Play-in tournament, this recent improvement will surely bolster the confidence of the youngsters and help them in long term.
Clippers have done well: The Clippers have been at the eighth spot for most parts recently and it seems like they will finish there considering that the teams below them in Lakers and Pelicans have been struggling a lot these days. If the team propels a winning run and ends up winning around 50% of their games at least then they are a lock for the eighth spot. However, their upcoming schedule is difficult and they will face elite teams after elite teams. So, yes, they will need Paul George back soon.
Roster complexions: Reggie Jackson has been the primary playmaker for the Clippers while the Pistons have received immense contributions from Cade Cunningham, whose improved performance has surely helped them win more. At wing positions, Bey and Grant have been huge for the Pistons while Morris and Batum complement each other well at the Forward position. Marvin Bagley and Ivica Zubac will fight it out in the middle here and both have had some strong games recently with Marvin being more consistent on average. The bench advantage belongs to the Clippers as they have a sharpshooter in the form of Kennard along with athletic Mann. Detroit Pistons | LA Clippers Games: 67 | 69 Wins: 18 | 35 Defeats: 49 | 34
