DET vs PHI DREAM11 MATCH PREVIEW:

High-flying Detroit Pistons will be looking to end their two-game losing streak when they host fellow Eastern Conference team Philadelphia 76ers in an NBA match at Little Caesars Arena, in Midtown Detroit, on Saturday morning (IST).

Detroit Pistons:

Detroit Pistons have made some giants strides already this season. They are 4th in the table in the Eastern Conference, however, it’s not only their position which commands admiration but the number of wins they have accumulated up until now.

Pistons finished the 2017-18 campaign at 9th and four wins away from 8th placed Washington Wizards, and to be true, they never looked like breaking into the top-8.

But just 22 games into the new season, the three times NBA Champions have won 13 times, which is one-third of what they managed to achieve in the whole of the regular season last year.

The team has lost the last two matches though, going down at home 83-110 against Oklahoma City Thunder and 115-92 vs Milwaukee Bucks on the road.

Quite frankly, those losses shouldn’t be disheartening by any means as the real growth takes time to show and the franchise will have to keep striving hard in order to get statement wins on a more regular basis.

Philadelphia 76ers:

Philadelphia 76ers lost their last match as well when they ran into Toronto Raptors just a few days ago. It was an expected result for most of the fans, considering how Toronto are flying mercilessly like a Buzzard in their own world.

The team showed fight though against Kawhi Leonard and company, winning the first and the fourth quarter respectively in the last match.

But Raptors had too much in the locker for them at the end. Joel Embiid’s struggle also made things even harder for the visitors, while the 2nd unit didn’t contribute in a meaningful manner.

Jimmy Butler, however, dropped a game-high in the match, scoring 38 points, while JJ Redick ended up with 25 points in the match.

Regular Season Record-
Detroit Pistons: W-13, L-9
Philadelphia 76ers: W-17, L-9

Players to watch out for:
Detroit Pistons:
Blake Griffin – A consistent player for Detroit Pistons, and scoring like a player aiming for an NBA MVP award at the end of the season.
The 29-year-old Forward is dropping 24.9 points per game and is fresh from putting a magnificent show against Milwaukee Bucks last time around, scoring 31 points in a losing cause.
Andre Drummond – The 25-year-old is a good team player, as not only he scores at a good rate but his work in the defensive areas is key for Detroit Pistons’ ambitions this season.
The 2012 1st round pick is dropping 18.0 points and a team-high 15.5 rebounds per game.

Philadelphia 76ers:

Joel Embiid – It’s quite surreal but Joel Embiid has had two poor games in succession for his team.
However, the Cameroonian star’s numbers are still insane, and perhaps good enough to put him in contention for the NBA MVP award. The 24-year-old Center is scoring 26.3 points per game, only Sixers’ player to score in the 20s this season.
Jimmy Butler – He kind of erupted in the last game, and his inclusion is the reason why NBA pundits are making Sixers as one of the teams to watch in NBA this season.
The former Minnesota Timberwolves star scored a game-high 38 points in the last game.
