GSW vs BOS Dream11: The NBA season is going to end soon and we are well into the championship window which means that soon we are going to see which teams wins the Finals trophy. In the Finals, the Golden State Warriors and the Boston Celtics are engaging with each other to decide who comes out on the top. As we move towards Game 2, the series is still wide open and a lot is at stake.
In Game 1, the Boston Celtics stunned the Golden State Warriors completing a come-from-behind win and notching a 120:108 victory. Al Horford racked up six triples in his Finals debut to stun the hosts. On the other hand, Jaylen Brown put up 24 points, including a 10-points last quarter outburst to bury the Warriors. Stephen Curry’s 34 points night wasn’t good enough for the Warriors as their defense crumbled late in the game. Can the Warriors’ defense regroup and eke one out here?

Warriors look to avoid a nil-two deficit
The Warriors have their nine-game winning streak broken in the last game and it is a shame that they folded despite limiting Jayson Tatum to a horrid 3/17 shooting night. This is not an encouraging precedent considering that the Celtics turned up with a much more balanced scoring effort and also got it done on the defensive end in the fourth quarter. Up by 12, the Warriors were outscored 40:16 in the Final Quarter.
Stephen Curry racked up 20+ points in the first half but Jordan Poole had a horrible shooting night off the bench. On the other hand, things weren’t easy for Draymond Green either, who could only manage 2/12 shooting night and took rather more shots than in his comfort zone. Thompson had a decent shooting night whereas Andrew Wiggins continued to be a big factor on both ends of the floor.
For the Celtics, three players scored at least 20 points, namely Horford, Brown, and White whereas Smart had 18 points, which is a remarkable effort to overcome a 12-point off-night by Jayson Tatum. But Tatum got it done as a playmaker, and had 13 assists which surely aided the Celtics effort. The Celtics continued to showcase their prowess away from home, and have now won close to 80% in the road scenarios.
Match-ups
As expected, Curry was a problematic presence to deal with for the Celts and he will continue to pose a threat. The Celtics did a great job of taking the ball away from Curry’s hand in the second half. Tatum struggled but the multi-dimensional attack of the Celtics got 33 assists in the first game which sets a remarkable precedent. Apparently, the Celtics showed more scoring depth and the bench match-up between White and Poole was throuughouly dictated by White. The Warriors need more from both Poole and Thompson in this game.

*Stats from last game for both teams* Jayson Tatum(BOS) Points: 12 Rebounds: 05 Assists: 13 Steals: 01 Although he shot below 20% in Game 1, Tatum had a huge impact as a playmaker and defender which makes him a more well-versed player than he was earlier in the season. I expect him to be in 21-28 points, 6-9 rebounds, 3-5 assists, and 1-2 steals range. He can be chosen as a Star/Pro Player in the Dream 11 NBA Fantasy scenario. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 42-52
Stephen Curry(GSW) Points: 34 Rebounds: 05 Assists: 05 Steals: 03 Guard Curry marked in seven of his 14 attempts from three and he has been an incredible perimeter shooter throughout the season, well, nothing surprising. I believe he will be in 27+ points, 4-7 rebounds, and 4-7 assists range. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 39-52
Jaylen Brown(BOS) Points: 24 Rebounds: 07 Assists: 05 Steals: 02 Blocks: 01 Brown continues to prove his multi-dimensional prowess and made 10 of his 23 shots while being a nuisance on the defensive end as well. I expect a 17-22 points, 4-7 rebounds, and 3-5 assists range. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 28-42
Klay Thompson(GSW) Points: 15 Rebounds: 02 Assists: 03 Off-Guard Klay made three triples in the last game and he is an incredible shooter. But he can go up for big nights every now and then, here, I believe he will be in 20-26 points range. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 25-39
Marcus Smart(BOS) Points: 18 Rebounds: 05 Assists: 04 Steals: 02 A decent rest before the series means that Smart is struggling less with his injury and a 7/11 shooting night proves that for the Defensive threat. I expect 12-16 points, 4-6 assists, and 3-5 rebounds range. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 25-40
Andrew Wiggins(GSW) Points: 20 Rebounds: 05 Assists: 00 Blocks: 03 Steals: 01 Wiggins continues to be an exhilarating defensive presence and shut down Tatum while clicking on 8 of his 15 shots. I believe he will be in 17-24 points, 4-8 rebounds, and 1-3 blocks/steals range. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 25-40
