The Warriors have done a great job of winning games this season and yes, they have had a tough month but they have the depth and the discipline to pull through in the long term. Golden State has been one of the best defensive teams in the league but yes, playing without Green recently has hurt their two-way rhythm.

The Mavericks have been on fire this month and they have gone on two lengthy game-winning streaks. Luka Doncic has been the leading scorer and playmaker, while the supporting cast has been playing hard on both ends of the floor. Can the Mavericks keep on with their current run?

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis

Warriors: Chance to get back on track
The Warriors have certainly not played their best basketball this month. Golden State has been suffering because their emotional leader Draymond Green has been missing from the fray. Still, they have won the last two games and they have their next three games at home. Warriors have been playing some so-so offense and they have rushed their shots or have committed a bunch of turnovers which has hurt their team rhythm again and again. The Warriors will face a tough Dallas team here and they must find out a way to craft quality offense against Mavericks.

Stephen Curry has showcased some struggles shooting from long-range while too many lineup shuffles have put Jordan Poole out of his rhythm but yes, if he is given a stable role, he will be back to his old ways. Wiggins and Porter Jr. are two superb wings and with them in the pocket, the Warriors can get some big-time production. Kevon Looney has been impressive with his boards and inside production, holding the fort with Green out. Payton II can be an energy injector while Damion Lee has been a decent shooter. How will the Warriors fare against this challenging Dallas team?

Mavericks: Slow the game down, and then close it
Mavericks are a physical team and they have used their frontline well to pin down the defensive end. Dallas has been the best defensive team this month, stopping early shot-clock buckets, challenging scorers to take shots deep in the shot clock, and just slowing the game down which triggers usually low-scoring games. Dallas has played a disciplined brand of basketball and yes, usually, their games are close but with a closer like Luka Doncic, they can dip in some late-game buckets and take the momentum away with their defense.

Talking about Luka Doncic, he is the heart of Dallas’ offensive output as the leading scorer and the playmaker. Jalen Brunson shares ball-handling duties and has done well in the starting role, both with his scoring and playmaking. Finney-Smith and Kleber are major physical big Forwards, which is a big help for sure. Porzingis helps scoring-wise at the Center position and has done a great job of rebounding and blocking shots. Tim Hardaway Jr. is an important guard player off the bench. Dwight Powell and Reggie Bullock keep the defensive spirit alive and overall, the Mavericks have been impressive lately.
