GSW vs HOU Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:

Golden State Warriors won the first game 104-100 and took a 1-0 lead in the series.

But the result is gaining attention for all sorts of negative reasons. Houston Rockets are complaining about the officiating in the match, blaming the referees for making decisions against them, way too many according to them.

And that’s not just that. Rockets got their own research into the 2018 Western Conference finals, and according to reports, they found out that there were 81 potential missed calls in the series.

So they are seeing a repeat here. No wonder James Harden was vocal about that aspect of the game in his post-match briefing.

“I mean, I just want a fair chance, man,” Harden was quoted as saying.

“Call the game how it’s supposed to be called, and that’s it. And I’ll live with the results.”

We don’t want this. The world doesn’t want to see this series getting embroiled in some controversy. This series has been a year in the making. This series could potentially produce the champion, just as it did last year. The officiating is the last thing we want impacting the final result.

But it’s the part of the game now as almost every team is built to draw the fouls. And when a call goes against a team, there are complains.

Houston Rockets play like that. They invite falls and feed on the possession. While James Harden is a master of that trade, having drawn a massive 95 fouls in the regular season.

There was a moment late in the game when Rockets were down by three points. Harden had the ball and was on the three-point periphery. He attempted the shot and then came a leaping Draymond Green. Harden felt the foul, went to the ground. The officials saw nothing malicious in it.

This is just the start. That was only the first game and we have enough controversy and fouls to fuel this series which should have been fought for the ultimate prize.

Regular Season Record-
Golden State Warriors:
W-57, L-25
Houston Rockets:
W-53, L-29

Players to watch out for:

Golden State Warriors:
Kevin Durant – The current post-season is seeing why he is a two-time reigning NBA finals MVP. He is on a great scoring run of late, at a time when Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are having a dip of sorts in their form.

He scored an incredible 50 points in the penultimate Game-6 against the Los Angeles Clippers. The former Thunder continued his impressive form with 35 points against Houston Rockets in Game-1.

Stephen Curry – He is a two-time MVP, and perhaps the greatest shooters NBA has ever seen. The 30-year-old is having an average postseason by his standards. But the Game-1 had the moments which exemplified that he makes Warriors’ offence just so potent.

Houston Rockets:

James Harden – The reigning MVP looks set to defend his personal crown this season. For he has been scoring heavily all season. In fact, he is the only player to average in the 30s this season, dropping at 36.5 points per game.

@USA Today

Chris Paul – A vital cog in Houston Rockets’ wheel. He is Rockets’ second most important player, as far as scoring is concerned. He is averaging 18 points per game in the post-season.

INDIA FANTASY PREDICTION:

The first game was as close as it could get. Only a late Stephen Curry three-pointer clinched the win for the hosts.

It’s a difficult call but the Dubs are at home and we back them to win here.
