Golden State Warriors put together a strong performance as they downed Houston Rockets 115-109 in Game-2 of their Western Conference semifinal match, and took a 2-0 lead in the series.

This was a matchup coming a series earlier for most NBA fans and pundits. For both the teams are more than a match for most teams in the playoffs, and not to mention the talent that these teams boast on their roster.

But so far, the series has been controlled by the reigning champions. They are 2-0 up and look on course for yet another finals appearance.

Chris Paul – A vital cog in Houston Rockets’ wheel. He is Rockets’ second most important player, as far as scoring is concerned. He is averaging 18 points per game in the post-season.

Golden State Warriors:

Kevin Durant – Just a reminder that he is a two-time reigning finals MVP, and it seems he is adamant to do a hattrick. For the former Oklahoma City Thunder is playing at a different level. In fact, he is carrying the Golden State Warriors in the playoffs. He scored an incredible 50 points in Game-6 against the Los Angeles Clippers in the previous round.

While he opened the round 2 with 35 points against Houston Rockets. He is averaging 34.3 points per game in the postseason.

Stephen Curry – He is a two-time MVP, and perhaps the greatest shooters NBA has ever seen. The 30-year-old is having a topsy-turvy postseason by his standards. But the Game-1 had the moments which exemplified that he makes Warriors’ offence just so potent.

Questionable – Superstar Stephen Curry suffered a finger injury earlier in Game-2. He had to leave the court for treatment and returned with bandages wrapped around.

“It feels all right. It’s going to hurt. But it is what it is at this point. Just got to keep playing,” Curry said on Friday.
