GSW vs HOU Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:

Giving up is not associated with the Golden State Warriors, nor there is a team well-equipped to hold sway over the Dubs in a seven-game series.

When Stephen Curry missed an open dunk late in overtime of Game-3, the whole Warriors squad gave up on the game. Though Rockets had a five points advantage at that time and with less than 25 seconds remaining in the match, you may argue that the two-point may have been too little too late.

But anything can happen in the sport. Kevin Durant is playing like a monster, ready to challenge the might of Michael Jordan and Lebron James. With him on the court, anything can happen, and a buzzer-beater was a possibility.

Curry’s miss summed it up for Warriors.

The bench made all the difference. Rockets got the significant contribution from Austin Rivers (8 points, 4 rebounds) and Iman Shumpert (10 points, 2 rebounds), while Warriors got almost nothing from their second unit. It’s just not the points, but Rockets’ second unit was impressive in every aspect, be it collecting the offensive rebounds or bringing the energy into the play.

Regular Season Record-
Houston Rockets: W-53, L-29
Golden State Warriors: W-57, L-25

Players to watch out for:

Houston Rockets:

James Harden – The reigning MVP is averaging 30.5 points and 7.0 assists per game in the playoffs. Against Warriors in this series, he failed to bring his A game in the first two games. But in Game-3, Harden was MVP-esque. The reigning MVP scored an incredible 41 points, along with 9 rebounds and 6 assists.

Chris Paul – Defensively he is having quite an impact in the playoffs. The former Los Angeles Clippers player is averaging 2.6 steals per game, which is incredible. A vital cog in Houston Rockets’ wheel. He is Rockets’ second most important player, as far as scoring is concerned. He is averaging 18 points per game in the post-season.

Golden State Warriors:

Kevin Durant – Warriors are being led by Kevin Durant in the playoffs with 35.6 points per game. Even in the last game, when all the Dubs struggled, he had a game-high 46 points. It was a reminder of his ability and also a warning to the Warriors that they may not be the same if he decides to leave Oracle Arena this summer.

Stephen Curry – “Struggling” would be an understatement to define Stephen Curry’s form in the playoffs so far. At 22.6 points per game in the 2019 postseason, his numbers are decent. But he is not being himself, not even a splinter of “The Curry” we are so familiar with. No wonder, some fans are having a go at him on the social media.

A reason for optimism for Warriors could be that they are 2-1 up in the series when Curry is not playing well. And he is too good a player not to leave an impact in the playoffs.
