GSW vs POR Dream11: Golden State Warriors will look to end three-game skid when they host Portland Trail Blazers in the NBA at Chase Center, on Tuesday morning. The Dubs are 2nd from bottom in the Western Conference after suffering five defeats in the first six games, while Portland also seeks improvement after splitting the first six games.
But it’s Warriors who look out of ideas at the moment. The departure of Kevin Durant left a big hole on the team’s roster, Klay Thompson’s injury was a huge blow to the team’s aspirations, but biggest and the latest setback was Stephen Curry’s injury.
It’s no surprise that the Dubs have already lost five times in the first six games, and against the teams which never stood a chance in the past. The latest setback was an 87-93 defeat against Charlotte Hornets, a result which left them at 14th in the west.
Meanwhile, Portland Trail Blazers are 3-3 in the season following a tough 128-129 defeat against Philadelphia 76ers. The whole Blazers must be kicking themselves in the teeth as the Sixers were without their big-man Joel Embiid, and escaped with a win from Moda Center.
Golden State Warriors team news:
As mentioned, Stephen Curry suffered a horrible injury against Phoenix Suns. He had an MRI which confirmed a broken bone in his hand. These type of injuries take months to heal and the Warriors later reveal that they expect Curry to miss at least 3 months of action.
And just when you think, things can’t go any worse for the Dubs, it was revealed before the game against Charlotte Hornets that both D’Angelo Russell and Draymond Green are carrying knocks. They both sat out that game.
Green suffered a finger injury against Sunsand will be out for at least 2-3 weeks, while D’Angelo Russell is suffering from a sprained ankle. That said, Russell’s injury is not serious and the former Los Angeles Lakers star could be available for the game against Blazers.
While superstar Klay Thompson is expected to miss the rest of the season due to a knee injury.
In addition, Jacob Evans (hip injury), Kevon Looney (right hamstring injury) and Alen Smailagic (ankle injury) remain on the sideline.
Portland Trail Blazers team news:
R0odney Hood was helped by his teammates to the locker room after suffering an ankle injury late in the game. He is a doubt for the match.
Portland will monitor Hassan Whiteside before the game, as per reports. The 30-year-old Center missed the last game against 76ers with a knee injury.
Zach Collins (shoulder injury), Pau Gasol (foot injury) and Jusuf Nurkic (leg injury) will be missing the game.
