LAC vs LAL Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:

With the season on the cusp of utter failure, Los Angeles Lakers will hope to turn their fortunes around when they play city rivals Los Angeles Clippers in a regular season NBA match at Staples Center, in Los Angeles, on Tuesday morning (IST).

Los Angeles Lakers:
There was a moment in the match against Eastern Conference leaders Milwaukee Bucks when it seemed that Los Angeles Lakers are ready to go full throttle to grab a playoff position, which the Showtime fans believe is rightfully theirs.

The 16-time NBA champions led by as many as 12 points midway in the 3rd quarter. And with the momentum and the lead in the bag, Lakers were the favorites to clinch another win against a high-profile team.

But the continuous pressure from the visitors, and in particular the unexpected aggression and precision shown by Eric Bledsoe, caught Luke Walton’s men off guard. Lakers ended up losing that match 120-131.

Head-coach Luke Walton was critical of himself and accepted that he failed to communicate his message to the players late in the match.

However, it’s understandable to have an off-day against a high performing team. But Lakers’ 118-109 loss against Phoenix Suns in the last match was inexplicable. LeBron James didn’t sign with the Lakers to suffer the ignominy of those results. But the result fuels the rumors that something is not right in the Lakers’ locker-room.

But whatever the differences between the players, they must resolve them, pull their socks up and get ready for one final assault on the playoffs. What better than to start the process against your direct rivals?

Los Angeles Clippers:
When Tobias Harris left the franchise for the more settled Philadelphia 76ers midway in the season, it was perceived that the Clippers would struggle and may lose their top-8 status in the Western Conference.

Though the team is not as potent as it used to be, few players have upped their game, emanating a belief that Clippers could finish in the playoff positions. The signs are good as well as they are on a two-game winning streak, improving their season record to 36-29.

Ivica Zubac is one of the players who has flourished. The big Croatian is averaging career highs both in points per game and rebounds per game.

Regular Season Record-
Los Angeles Lakers:
W-36, L-29
Los Angeles Clippers:
W-30, L-33

Players to watch out for:

Los Angeles Lakers:
Lebron James –
LeBron James is the key if If Lakers are to finish in the top-8. He has nothing to prove though, and one-seaosn hiccup with the Los Angeles Lakers won’t have any blemish on his glittering career. The 34-year-old is averaging a team-high 27.0 points per game.

Kyle Kuzma and Brandon Ingram – These two young superstars have been playing exceptionally well during the last month or so. They are 2nd and 3rd respectively in the points tally.
Kuzma is averaging 18.9 points per game, while Ingram has racked up points at 22.8 per game in the last 10 matches.

Los Angeles Clippers:
Lou Williams –
The 32-year-old is in good touch all season. A player with good shooting accuracy, he is a threat to the opponents all day. The former Sixers scored 18 points in the last match and is averaging 19.8 points per game this season.
