Los Angeles Lakers vs Milwaukee Bucks

Match Timing: March 02, 2019, @ 09:00 AM IST
NBA Regular Season
Venue – Staples Center
Capacity- 21,000

The inconsistent Los Angeles Lakers host Eastern Conference leaders Milwaukee Bucks in a regular season NBA match at Staples Center, in Los Angeles, on Saturday morning (IST).

Los Angeles Lakers: The battle for the playoff starts here!
The road to the playoff starts here and it’s up to Los Angeles Lakers to show that they are ready to go onboard and seal their fate. But the ride is sure to go bumpy as the game against Milwaukee Bucks kick start a sequence of tough fixtures where Lakers will be against either playoff contenders or the high flying teams. That’s why the odds are stacked against them to make into the postseason. But anything can happen.

The Showtime secured a morale-boosting 125-119 win over New Orleans Pelicans on Thursday. LeBron James led the way scoring a team-high 33 points and also added 10 assists and six rebounds to his efforts. Brandon Ingram (23 pts), Kyle Kuzma (22 pts) and Reggie Bullock (14 pts) all scored in the double digits as well.

While Rajon Rondo, who was termed as a “virus” by the former NBA player after the loss against Memphis Grizzlies a few days ago, showed his worth to the team contributing with 16 assists and 11 points in the winning cause.

Though the win was good news for Lakers, it portends about an unwanted record as well. Following the last 3 victories, Los Angeles Lakers have lost two straight games on each occasion. However, it’s no time for the recklessness, the time is certainly not on Lakers’ side.

Milwaukee Bucks: It’s all about momentum and keeping the players charged up
NBA’s best team, Milwaukee Bucks will take their six game winning streak to Los Angeles, and in all probability, the record looks to go beyond six games.

However, the result will depend on a few factors. Of course, Lakers are at home and will be extra motivated in front of their own fans. But the paradigm of the match would be defined by how many minutes Bucks’ head coach Mike Budenholzer gives to his star Giannis Antetokoiunmpo in this match.

The Greek-freak was on the court for 24 minutes against Sacramento Kings and played just two minutes in the overtime. All’s well that ends well, Bucks won the match 141-140. But it highlights the fact that Budenholzer is starting to rest his key players ahead of the playoffs.

Regular Season Record-
Los Angeles Lakers: W-30, L-31
Milwaukee Bucks: W-47, L-14

LAL vs MIL Dream11 Fantasy Team:

Los Angeles Lakers have certainly got their task cut out as they take on the best team in NBA in Milwaukee Bucks. But the Showtime showed this season, that on their day, they can beat any team in the league.
But to achieve that against the Bucks, the Lakers will have to be sharp on all corners, and the likes of Rajon Rondo and JaVale McGee must be more aggressive and astute inside the pain when chasing the ball.
We have got a feeling here that Lakers can win this match.
