LAL vs SAC Dream11

LAL vs SAC Dream11: NBA is in the Preseason mode and frankly, this leg of the league lacks the similar intensity to the Regular Season. Well, not if you are a bench player who wants to earn a bigger role or want to make the final cut for the roster. Apart from that, it is mainly a practise session and the real deal is still a couple of weeks away. Anyway, to warm their bodies up, the Los Angeles Lakers will take on the Sacramento Kings.

The Lakers will enter the practise session with their core of Westbrook, LeBron, and Davis amidst all the rumors surrounding the trade of Russell Westbrook. What final look will this team have before the season begins?

For the Kings, they have been unable to make the Playoffs longer than some teenagers have been alive. This makes for a frustrated fanbase and despite the thin returns, the fan support has been incredible. However, this season Kings will have to at least get into the Play-in tournament. Too much rebuilding, too little happening.

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis

Hard truths for both squads.

Lakers

  • Will the team be able to work out the combination of Westbrook, LeBron, and Davis?
LeBron has slowed down on defense, but remains an all-around force nonetheless. Davis has struggled to string together 60 games in a season, while Westbrook has been catching the flake despite playing in almost all games last season.
  • Have they done enough in the offseason?
Bringing in a young coach Devin Ham, the Lakers have taken a gamble, which they surely needed. To be honest, the Lakers did address their perimeter defense issues, hauling in Patrick Beverley and Lonnie Walker IV can also provide the much-needed “X-Factor” punch off the bench. Dennis Schroder is back while Kendrick Nunn will be healthy. Expect Lakers’ perimeter D to be much better but the frontline needs some tweaking if Davis gets injured. Can Thomas Bryant provide some answers?

Kings

  • Will this be the season? Last season the Kings once again became the punching bag and except for some sparse runs, they were into the long game-winning streaks. De’Aaron Fox’s production was down and his patience must be running out. He is a two-way threat worth building around, but will the Kings change this season? They need to.
  • Will the gamble finally pay? Trading budding Guard Tyrese Haliburton last season was a move that drew the ire of the Kings’ fanbase. The team brought in Domantas Sabonis to have a semblance of post-play, top rebounding, and some viable ball movement. In the current off-season, they snagged Malik Monk who can bring a scoring punch and insert energy. Can the guard combination of Fox, Davion Mitchell, an elite defender, and an improving offensive player, alongside scoring threat Malik Monk pin down something special?

NBA Scores, Fantasy Basketball Top Picks

LeBron James(LAL)
LeBron was dropping 30 points or more like he was still below 30 and for all his super powers, the Forward has lost the early tenacity on defense.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 39-52

De’Aaron Fox(SAC)
Despite not playing as per the expectations last season, Fox remains an explosive guard who can thrive if the guard alongside him can spread the floor. How will the season be for this amazing player?
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 50-68

Russell Westbrook(LAL)
Will Russell find a concrete role and lift away the curse that his teams are mediocre? This is perhaps the biggest season of this incredibly gifted all-around player.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 45-56

Damontas Sabonis(SAC)
Sabonis has been an All-Star and his ability to score, pin down boards, and also provide playmaking is huge. But is he the answer defensively? An area where the Kings have suffered for too long?
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 27-40

Patrick Beverley(LAL)
Pat was the perimeter defensive enforcer for the Wolves last season and oh boy, did the Lakers need that last season? With ageing coming in the way, will Patrick make Lakers a strong defensive team and do his job on the playmaking part and bits of scoring?
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 22-46

Malik Monk(SAC)
One of the few positives of the last season Lakers campaign, Monk can enjoy a big role here in the Kings as the team needs some long-range and quick scoring power.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 24-36

LAL vs SAC DREAM11 LINEUP BALANCERS

  • Juan Toscano-Anderson(LAL): Juan has all-around promise, can he fit along as the second wing alongside LeBron or will he provide an extensive bench role?
  • Harrison Barnes(SAC): Barnes has continued to be a consistent wing player, especially with his scoring. Can he be a stretch-three/four this time around to ease burden around post-players?
  • Thomas Bryant(LAL): Thomas was buried deep in the Wizards’ rotations last season, will he able to free the shackles here for a Lakers team that need rim protection?
  • Davion Mitchell(SAC): Already regarded as an elite perimeter defender, sophomore Mitchell will have to prove his worth both as a scorer and playmaker, something which he showed in spurts last season?
  • Keegan Murray(SAC): A lengthy Forward Keegan, was picked fourth in the draft and can become a strong starting stretch-four who can do a lot. Will his development lift the Kings to new heights?
  • Kendrick Nunn(LAL): Nunn missed all of the last season. How will his rhythm be this season?
  • Austin Reaves:(LAL): Can the Lakers sophomore carve out a role somehow?
  • Kevin Huerter(SAC): After some impressive seasons with the Hawks, will Huerter be content with a reserved role or can he be a surprise starter soon?
