LAL vs SAC Dream11: We go on as the NBA season goes on, following the long trail of many teams that feature in this league. This is why when I write descriptions for 30 teams all season long, Playoffs look like a rather lonely time, as I write, the game of NBA has become more than about NBA championships, each team and each player who figure here has something special and that is why we are here, discussing them at length. Now, let us get going.
In this game, the Los Angeles Lakers host the Sacramento Kings in a classic Western Conference battle. The Lakers have won 19 and lost 19, yet to showcase that they are an elite team. On the other hand, the Kings have 16 wins and 22 losses and well, not much is expected out of them during any season anyway!
The Lakers have been beating sides with an under 50% win record more than before, but hey, is that how you measure LeBron-led teams? Russell Westbrook needs to REALLY cut down on turnovers, it can be a momentum killer, apart from that, his scoring, rebounding, and playmaking are all stellar usually. The Lakers have received great offensive contributions from Monk and Anthony, but still, the defensive side remains underwhelming.
“Underwhelming” is a term that has been applied to the Kings for a long time now. They keep on losing games and their fanbase keeps sticking to the squad. I refuse to believe that a team that hasn’t made Playoffs for 15 seasons and counting, has been unable to do so because of a lack of talented players. I think the Kings have not been able to develop the young stars as teams like Grizzlies/Warriors.

Lakers: Time is now running out
If there is a time when the Lakers need to go on at least a five-game winning streak it is now. They have beaten two below-par teams in Trail Blazers and Timberwolves and the Kings are pretty much in the same category. The team will have to face Atlanta, Grizzlies, and then Sacramento once again but come on, you will have to beat switched-on squads like Grizzlies to make something out of this season. The Lakers have not played well as per the roster make-up, yes LeBron has been tearing it apart with 30+ points nights, Monk has given 20 or so, Carmelo 15 or so, and Westbrook despite his inconsistencies, has provided more than decent rebounding and scoring. But it is time that someone like Talen Horton-Tucker raises the hand and picks up the game. The Lakers need to hold teams around 105 or so more often, if they do that, they can win 67% of their games at least.
Kings: They need to coordinate well
Sacramento has won some games in the closing moments recently but Nah, don’t be fooled by that, by no means are the Kings a great closeout team. Why do I say that? Well, during most games, they are barely in the territory of even making a comeback by the late fourth-quarter period. I am amazed that a team is blessed with two stellar playmaking one-guards among whom Fox is a superb scorer, Haliburton also a scoring threat, and a backup tandem of Mitchell and Hield, where Mitchell brings defensive smarts and Hield can light it up from the field along with an offensive wing in Harrison Barnes, and a talented big Forward in Marvin Bagley II, that team has done so poorly. It is a baffling scenario especially when Barnes and Hield continue to struggle to put up points and I don’t know, there is some systemic issue that has plagued both offense and the defense.

Sacramento Kings Expected Starting Five
Forwards: PF: Marvin Bagley III SF: Harrison Barnes
Middle: C: Damian Jones
Guards: PG: DeAaron Fox PG: Tyrese Haliburton
BENCH: Maurice Harkless, Alex Len, Chimezie Metu, Louis King, Terance Davis, Jahmius Ramsey, Emmanuel Terry, Robert Woodward III.
Tyrese Haliburton(SAC)
Points: 09
Rebounds: 03
Assists: 12
Tyrese has become more of a low-shot taker since Fox has been back. Still, he surely has been a high-assist giver and has become the designated playmaker for the team. Tyrese has figured in the 10-12 assists range continually since late December
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 34-47
LeBron James (LAL )
Points: 26
Rebounds: 07
Assists: 05
Steals: 03
Blocks: 01
LeBron continues to defy his age and seems like he has figured out how to survive in the pace and space era, which shows that he is someone who can adjust to an era in the league’s history and foreseeable future. James has scored 30 or more in seven out of the last eight games while grabbing 7+ rebounds and 5+ assists a game regularly. LBJ can be selected as a Star/Pro Player in the Dream 11 NBA Fantasy scenario.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 61-74
DeAaron Fox(SAC)
Points: 24
Rebounds: 06
Assists: 06
Steals: 02
Fox has been the leading scorer for the Kings once again this season but yes, his assists numbers and shooting percentage are down. Still, the guard can score in the 16-26 points range while getting hold of 4-7 assists a game consistently.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 28-37
Russell Westbrook(LAL )
Points: 20
Rebounds: 03
Assists: 05
Steals: 01
The Point Guard has received many negative reviews this season but as a basketball talent, there are few like Russell. The All-Around accumulator has turned it over quite a bit this season and had 9 turnovers in the last game. Still, a 20-25 points, 8-12 rebounds, and 8-14 assists range a game is norm for the PG.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 41-57
Malik Monk(LAL )
Points: 22
Rebounds: 00
Assists: 01
Steals: 01
Monk has shown that he was a terrific pick-up for the Lakers in the offseason and his scoring range has expanded as the season has ticked on. Expect 18-24 points a game from him.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 27-33
Buddy Hield(SAC)
Points: 26
Rebounds: 06
Assists: 03
Hield has been off from the field before the big night against the Heat in the last game. Before late December, Buddy was scoring in the 16-22 points range more often than now but perhaps a 26 points night means he has his rhythm back?
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 22-40
PG: R Westbrook, D Fox
SG: M Monk, B Hield, T Haliburton(PP)
SF: L James(SP)
PF: C Anthony
C: D Jones
