LAL vs SAS DREAM11 MATCH PREVIEW:

Los Angeles Lakers will be facing their playoff rivals San Antonio Spurs in a matchup between the two giants of Western Conference at Staples Center, in Los Angeles, on Thursday morning (IST).

Los Angeles Lakers:

Los Angeles Lakers are coming into this match in an exceptional form. They have played 16 since November 1, winning a massive 13 times. This is the kind of form which has put the Lakers right in contention for a top-4 finish in the regular season.

However, two of those losses have come against Portland Trail Blazers and Toronto Raptors, certainly two of the best teams in NBA.

Also, the 16-time NBA Champions have already lost two times in the two games they played San Antonio Spurs this season. Lakers won’t want to go down 3-0 to their main rivals and will be looking for a statement victory against the legendary head coach Gregg Popovich’s team.

San Antonio Spurs:

San Antonio Spurs are struggling at the moment, sitting at a lowly 14th place in the Western Conference. The team has lost too many games against the strugglers, and are coming into this match after losing six times in the last 10 games.

No doubt, Popovich’s team will have a psychological advantage over Lakers after beating them two times already this season, but LeBron James and the team are a completely different animal at the moment, and any complacency could prove to be fatal at the Staples Center.

Regular Season Record-
Los Angeles Lakers: W-14, L-9
San Antonio Spurs: W-11, L-12

Players to watch out for:
Los Angeles Lakers:
LeBron James – Arguably the best of his generation and even the best of all-time, LeBron is too big, too talented and deserves everything the life and the Basketball court has given him.
The 33-year-old former Cleveland Cavaliers star is meeting expectations in Los Angeles and it’s because of his gigantic efforts that the Showtime are now finally looking like breaking their barren run without making to the NBA playoffs.
He is averaging 27.8 points per game this season.
Kyle Kuzma – He is young, and there is a scope for improvement. He is quite lucky, as all Lakers players are, that he has the chance to learn from the very best. For the season, his average is 16.6 points per game.

San Antonio Spurs:

DeMar DeRozan – His season-best performance came in the last match where he dropped a magnificent 36 points against Portland Trail Blazers to help his team snap a two-game losing streak.
Spurs have underperformed this season and DeRozan’s inconsistency could be the reason. His average of 24.3 points per game is still good, but its’s because he has scored in the 30s as well.
But he is too good a talent and can beat any team on his own.
LaMarcus Aldridge – He had a very goo game against Portland Trail Blazers, scoring 29 points in the match. Now 33, the former Blazers stars is a star in his own merit and has certainly carved out a name for himself in the NBA history books.
