MIL vs IND Dream11: Well, with All-Star festivities just a few days, the dial of the NBA has turned to a vigorous chase for the Playoffs spots. For some teams, sealing a top-six spot is necessary, while others are more focused upon getting to the 7th-10th positions after a slow start to the season. It is a season in which each team features 82 games which surely indicates that there can be ebbs and flows for various teams. For the Indiana Pacers who will meet the Milwaukee Bucks here, there hasn’t been any flow.
The Milwaukee Bucks lost their last game against the Trail Blazers in a rather embarrassing fashion. The Trail Blazers are a new-look team that has not fared well so yes the loss may bite the team however not having your best player(Giannis Antetokounmpo) can hurt you. That is where the Bucks have had some problems this season, their bench has to be one of the most shallow in the league and this can spell trouble.
On the other hand, the Pacers have been going through one of their worst seasons in recent memory. They are on a six-game losing streak and this has been a habit for this team. Now, after trading Sabonis, the team landed Tyrese Haliburton to perhaps build around. I have read in some columns that the Pacers are not the type that likes to wait for a long rebuild so they can focus on bringing in established talent in the offseason rather than investing in the draft picks until they land someone who can help out immediately. Bucks: Can they come out of the East again? The Eastern Conference has wrapped itself into a tough cover recently and has become a tough shell to crack. With the advancement of the Bulls, Heat, Celtics, Sixers, and Raptors, the road to the Eastern Finals can be tough for the Bucks who surely have an inferior bench compared to Heat and Celtics. Bucks have had some tough spells and their lack of depth has made it so that even if one of the big three among Giannis, Middleton, or Jrue is missing, they can lack cohesion on both ends of the floor. Losing Tucker in the offseason has surely been a problem for the team that has lacked depth.
The team has a strong trio of Giannis, Khris, and Jrue, all three carried the weight last season but their road looks much more thorny this time around. However, let me be clear, come postseason, these three can surely turn it on and can take care of business even if the East is rising. When the postseason arrives, Giannis’ inside finishes become even more potent while the defensive dial will be clicked too. The trouble is can the team sustain the same energy as last season. Brook Lopez is needed to attach some depth now as Portis can lead the bench unit.
Pacers: Where will they go from here? As I said above, writers claim that the Pacers management isn’t the type that waits for long rebuilds like Kings, Pistons, or Magic. They like the win-now mode but alas, it hasn’t worked out for the last two seasons. The combination of Brogdon-Sabonis-Turner had been entrusted to fetch results but Sabonis was traded for Tyrese Haliburton. However, I do have a question here. The guard rotations look like a logjam with Malcolm Brogdon, Chris Duarte, Tyrese Haliburton, and Buddy Hield, three of those in Brogdon, Duarte, and Haliburton like to have the ball in their hands rather than playing off-the-ball and even Hield needs his touches. So, is the team going to field a three-guard lineup in the future or will they trade Brogdon or Hield? Well, the next offseason is crucial for the Franchise.
The frontline looks a little lean despite the terrific play of Oshae Brissett and a young promising player in Jalen Smith. The team will look better once Turner returns but I think Turner has to be even more assertive when he returns. The wing depth is in tatters since Justin Holiday was traded so yes, the Pacers lineup is surely guard-heavy with Lance Stephenson too in the mix. Lord, are Pacers fielding a lot of players who want the ball in their hands in dribble situations. The defense is weak more so because the team lacks the chemistry as the roster was blown up. The Pacers are far away from a Play-in spot as the East has grown deeper even in lower rankings but this is a great opportunity for Haliburton to run the show!
