MIL vs MIA Dream11: NBA has been going through the motions on a daily basis and as the Playoffs will inch closer, we will be seeing more and more heated battles across the board. And the Eastern Conference’s improvement signifies a huge change in the landscape and it also means that the fight to the Finals will be highly intense in the Conference. And as we talk about the East, let us delve into the game between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Miami Heat.

The Bucks are the defending champions and have 12 more wins than losses. Although their record is not shabby at all, they are still some way removed from the top spot in the East. The Heat, Bulls, Sixers, Celtics, and Cavs have risen through the ranks quite a bit and the road to the East Finals will be full of thorns.

On the other hand, the Heat has done a great job of putting up a great campaign and has clinched the top spot in the East. By no means is their spot secure like the Suns’ first spot in the West, but the team has done well to reach here despite multiple injuries and absences. Can the Miami squad keep on pulling in wins like they have all season long?

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis

Bucks: Tough battle ahead
Surely, the Bucks have had their challenges all season long but they have been doing a great job of keeping the ship going. They have a strong core but the bench has been under the pump for most parts. The bench has been hurt mostly due to the now season-long injury to Brook Lopez and also due to the absence of Pat Connaughton recently. This is why when there is an injury to someone like Middleton, Holiday, or Giannis, the Bucks’ team balance falls apart as the team lacks cover for any of these players. This is one of the major reasons why the Bucks lost their first way in January and after a strong winning run in February, had some disappointing losses.

Still, don’t think this is not a tough team! With Giannis in the mix, they are going to be a force in the Playoffs, because he knows how to get it done during the big stage. Holiday has been having a terrific season once again and he is vital for the team’s success. Meanwhile, Middleton has been a great contributor during the postseason and we saw him going for big nights every second game. Portis has had a huge impact at the Center position, and he has been grabbing boards and unleashing a great amount of offense as well. However, the team depth is hurt right now and their bench has to be one of the least productive in the league.

Heat: Better scoring balance this season
The absence of Kyle Lowry has surely hurt the team balance recently and he has had some personal troubles. The Heat will wish that his troubles are sorted soon because trust me, the Heat has been in the middle of the pack somewhere if Lowry had not been acquired in the offseason. That is why Miami will wish he is with the squad soon. Also, the inclusion of PJ Tucker has made the Heat a rough and tough defensive team this season. The scoring balance is way better than last season and there is one other cause for that. Tyler Herro has increased his scoring by around 5-10 points a game this season and that has eased the burden on Butler and Adebayo.

Butler hasn’t had a smooth offensive season compared to the last few ones but he is a dedicated two-way player. Bam Adebayo is a huge factor on both ends of the floor and since he has been available, the paint defense has toughened up. The aforementioned PJ Tucker combines with Butler, Adebayo, Lowry, and Robinson to form one of the best defensive five in the league. Off the bench, Gabe Vincent’s contributions can’t be ignored while Max Strus has given decent shooting. DeWayne Dedmon has done well as a backup. Overall, the Heat has a lot of options at their disposal and their improved balance can be decisive once the Playoffs arrive.
