Ja Morant celebreating Patrick Beverley MIN vs MEM Dream11

MIN vs MEM Dream11: Three out of four series in the West are tied right now and that means some giants can be felled but the road is still ardous for the low-ranked teams. Pelicans win over the Suns really was a huge statement but the Mavericks rode the hot hand of Brunson to tie the series versus the Jazz. Only the Warriors have a decent lead, winning their first two games against the Nuggets. And here, the Minnesota Timberwolves will host the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Timberwolves saw the best of Grizzlies in the previous game as the latter beat them 124:96. The defense of the Grizzlies took the three-point shot away and the offense clicked for the second-placed team for most parts. D’Angelo Russells’ shooting has become a concern for the Wolves and they will hope he gets back in rhythm. Although the lost loss was by a heavy margin, three of the potential next five games will be played at the Wolves’ home floor.

Host: Minnesota Timberwolves

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis

Shootout vibes?

The Grizzlies showcased one of their best games all season long to down the Wolves. They had 16 more attempts from the field than the Wolves, how? They forced 19 turnovers, committed just nine themselves, and had a 14-4 offensive rebounding advantage. The Timberwolves shot below 30% from the three-point line, and such a percentage is not usually the case with the sharpshooting team.

The Grizzlies outscored the Timberwolves in all the quarters, by 10, 8, and 9 in the second, third, and fourth quarters which gave the game to the Grizzlies. The Grizzlies allowed the Timberwolves to complete just 16 assists and force them in an isolation hero-ball type of game. Except for Edwards who had 20, no other player left a deep impact from the field. meanwhile, the Grizzlies had an even spread in terms of scoring.

Fantasy related speculations

Ja Morant continues to be the hottest pick for the Grizzlies and his all-around abilities are unmatched by any other player in the team. Jaren is a decent option but his offensive inconsistencies can mean some curb in the fantasy points, however, he had seven blocks in Game 1, a high-value fantasy stock that way. Adams has fallen out of the Fantasy scenario whereas Brandon Clarke has made a solid case recently. Desmond Bane and Dillon Brooks both can be interchangeable and it is difficult one of these two.

For the Wolves, Karl Anthony-Towns and Anthony Edwards have been the two most reliant picks. Edwards has had some strong scoring nights while Karl has been an all-around threat. D’Angelo Russell’s stock has fallen a bit with his low-scoring nights but he continues to be an effective assists distributor. Vanderbilt has fallen out of contention whereas Malik Beasley and Jaden McDaniels appear more stable options.

An impressive wing whose driving abilities are supported by an improved shooting. He shot 7/16 in Game 2 after he had scored 36 in the first game. I expect a 19-25 points, 4-6 rebounds range here.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 37-50

Point Guard Ja has continued to lead the Grizzlies both in terms of scoring and playmaking while also being a major athletic presence on the other end. I expect a 27-34 points, 7-11 assists, and 4-7 rebounds range. He can be chosen as a Star/Pro Player in the Dream 11 NBA Fantasy scenario.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 45-56

Karl Anthony-Towns(MIN)
Points: 15
Rebounds: 11
Assists: 01
Blocks: 02

Anthony-Towns play a vital role on both ends of the floor and he is especially crucial on the rebounding end, an area he has addressed well so far. I expect a 18-24 points, 9-12 rebounds, and 1-2 blocks range here.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 38-48

Jaren Jackson(MEM)

D’Angelo Russell (MIN)

Expected Fantasy Points Range: 27-44
D'Angelo Russell directing MIN vs MEM Dream11

Desmond Bane(MEM)
Points: 16
Rebounds: 04
Assists: 04

Guard Bane is one of the best three-point shooters and he has been a reliable scoring option on the perimeter and made five out of his ten shots. The Guard can be in 17-23 points and 4-7 rebounds range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 20-30

NOP vs MEM DREAM11 LINEUP BALANCERS

  • Dillon Brooks(MEM) had 9 points, 4 assists, 1 rebound, 1 steal in the last game. Brooks is a reliable two-way wing and has helped the cause of the Grizzlies more often than not. He shot only 3/11 from the floor in the last game but I still expect a 14-20 points range from him.
    Expected Fantasy Points Range: 20-34
  • Patrick Beverley (MIN) had 6 points, 4 assists, 2 rebounds, 1 steal in the last game. All-around Guard Patrick shot just 1/6 in the last game. He will look to revitalize and can be in 7-10 points, 4-6 assists, and 4-6 rebounds range.
    Expected Fantasy Points Range: 18-28
  • Steven Adams(MEM) had 1 assist in the last game. Rebounding specialist Adams has had two terrible games in a row, will he be played or benched for most parts in Game 3? I expect a 5-8 points and 6-9 rebounds range.
    Expected Fantasy Points Range: 18-30
  • Malik Beasley(MIN) had 7 points, 3 rebounds in the last game. Sharpshooter Malik followed his 23-points performance by dropping just 7 points.  I expect a 8-14 points range here.
    Expected Fantasy Points Range: 14-22
  • Brandon Clarke(MEM) had 13 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals in the last game. Wing Brandon has been a terrific driver to the rim and I expect a 11-16 points and 3-7 rebounds range.
  • Jaden McDaniels(MIN) had 2 points, 1 rebound, 3 blocks in the last game. Jaden followed a 15 points performance by shooting just 1/7 from the floor. I expect a 8-13 points and 4-7 rebounds range.
    Expected Fantasy Points Range: 11-20
  • Tyus Jones (MEM) had 10 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal in the last game. Tyus is playing as a bench player because of Morant otherwise he is a starting-level player. I expect a 7-10 points and 4-6 assists range here.
    Expected Fantasy Points Range: 8-16
  • Jarred Vanderbilt(MIN) had 1 point, 2 rebounds in the last game. Vanderbilt is falling out of rotation as coach Chris Finch is trusting McDaniels more.
    Expected Fantasy Points Range: 10-20
  • Xavier Tillman(MIN) had 13 points, 7 rebounds in the last game. Tillman received minutes as Steven Adams failed to leave an impression. I expect a 4-8 points and 3-6 rebounds range at max.
