NOP vs WAS DREAM11 MATCH PREVIEW:

New Orleans Pelicans will be looking to snap their four-game losing streak when they host Washington Wizards in an NBA match at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Thursday morning (IST).

New Orleans Pelicans:

The “Streak‘ could be the word which could best describe New Orleans Pelicans’ season so far.

The season started with the four-game winning ‘Streak’, including the seaosn opening win over direct rivals Houston Rockets. And the big point is superstar Anthony Davis played all those games.

But unfortunately, Davis was injured in the 117-115 win over Brooklyn Nets (fourth) and missed the next four games. Yes, his absence started another ‘streak’, though this time it was heading South. Pelicans lost all four games and another two in which he made his comeback, and that makes it six losses on the trot.

Then another one came, three to be precise, started with a 129-124 win over New York Knicks, and ended with a 140-126 win over San Antonio Spurs.

Now as things stand, Pelicans are on a four-game losing streak once again. While the uncertain future concerning superstar Davis isn’t helping the cause either.

In the last game, Boston Celtics beat them 124-107 at their own home. New Orleans have now slipped to 12th in the Western Conference.

Washington Wizards:

Washington Wizards, on the other hand, should take a leaf or two out of their magnificent 124-114 win over New Orleans Pelicans just a few days ago. The game proved to be far too easy for John Wall and company who raced away to 34-23 in the fourth quarter and improved their record to 7-12 in the season.

Wizards also defeated Houston Rockets 135-131 in the overtime. It was a gem where both John Wall and Bradley Beal combined for their season-best joint efforts, scoring 68 points and 15 assists to cancel James Harden’s humungous 54 points show. The 2nd unit made all the difference for Washington, combining for a whopping 45 points against Rockets’ just nine.

Regular Season Record-
New Orleans Pelicans: W-10, L-11
Washington Wizards: W-8, L-12

Players to watch out for:

New Orleans Pelicans:
Anthony Davis – Pelicans’ answer to every possible NBA MVP candidate is Anthony Davis. The 25-year-old is dropping points at 27 points per game. In the last two matches, he has scored 60 points and 28 rebounds. How can you afford to lose him?
Jrue Holiday – The only other player in New Orleans Pelicans’ rank to average in the 20s this season. The 28-year-old is dropping 20.0 points per game this season.

Washington Wizards:

Bradley Beal- The King is Beal in Washington Wizards. He is leading the scoring charts, averaging 21.5 points per game, and is fresh from scoring 32 points which helped beat Rockets in the last match. If not Davis, then he could be the man to lead your NBA fantasy team.
John Wall The only man in Wizards’ ranks who possess the talent and is dropping numbers to rival Beal for the best player Basketball player in Washington at this moment. He scored 36 points in the last match and is averaging 20.9 points per game.
