NOP vs LAC Dream11: What do you think is the most difficult part about predictions related to lineups, betting, or game results? Well, for me, it is that you don’t know which player can go cold or catch fire during a particular day, which team struggles to have a consistent game, or which team picks it up, you never know! Each team plays 82 games, each player goes through a grind even if he is playing 10-15 minutes a game and it is a long long season. And to add to the count, here the Los Angeles Clippers will visit the doorstep of the New Orleans Pelicans in a Western Conference match-up.
New Orleans Pelicans have 15 wins and 26 losses, which is actually a much better performance compared to mid-November. The Pelicans have been playing without superstar Zion Williamson all season long and that has disturbed the team balance for sure. Still, the Pelicans have stayed competitive and have a lot of potential even without Zion.
On the other hand, the Clippers have 21 wins and 21 losses, holding the fort without Paul George and Kawhi Leonard. LA Clippers overcame a 25 points deficit against Nikola Jokic-led New Orleans Pelicans. So, what will this mean moving forward? Better efforts from the veteran unit as they find multiple options on both ends to close out games?

Pelicans: The team has the fight What I like about Pelicans is that their players have improved over the season and the team has discovered spark from players other than Ingram and Valanciunas. While Ingram is the undisputed scoring ace for the team and can put up 20 or more on a regular basis. Valanciunas helps seize the boards and also help out scoring-wise while Devonte Graham is a decent perimeter option. But the spark has come from rookie Herbert Jones and Josh Hart, both increasing their scoring and Hart as a hustle all-around player. The bench is not that effective but Nickeil Alexander-Walker has been having a decent scoring season. Will the Pelicans make some moves before the trade deadline expires or will they develop the current core and hope that it serves well once Zion returns. New Orleans has some versatile players and if they improve their defense, they can become a decent 50% win team down the line even without Zion.
Clippers: Feisty and experienced squad Clippers have won the last two after having lost three in a row earlier, but those losses are not surprising but the last win against Nuggets was certainly a pleasant surprise for the LA Clippers. The team has an experienced squad with Morris, Bledsoe, Jackson, Batum, and Ibaka have been around for around a decade now. While Jackson hasn’t been shooting well, he has been crucial for the team to attract opposing perimeter defenses, meanwhile, Morris has filled up the scoring column regularly, while Bledsoe has been doing well in whatever minutes he gets. Batum is more of a defensive threat and Ibaka gives decent production. Amir Coffey has scored 15+ in two straight games for the team that desperately needs such production. On the other hand, Terance Mann has the potential to expand his scoring range while Zubac and Boston jr. can fill up 8 or so regularly. The Clippers have somehow kept a 50% win record thanks to their experience and ability to recover from bad nights. Marcus Morris(LAC) Points: 12 Rebounds: 02 Assists: 01 Blocks: 02 Steals: 01 Morris Sr. has led the Clippers in scoring since the injury to Paul George. However, he has scored 15 or less in the last two games which are apart from the 20-27 points range he picked up around December. Can he score in a similar range again? Expected Fantasy Points Range: 26-40
Brandon Ingram(NOP) Points: 33 Rebounds: 04 Assists: 09 Steals: 01 Blocks: 01 Ingram is one of the best wing scorers in the league and he is actually more than a scorer and can clip home assists and clasp rebounds regularly. The high-quality Small Forward has scored 32 or more in two of the last three games while figuring 5-11 rebounds, and 4-9 assists range. For me, Nikola is the eternal favorite for the Star-Player in the Dream11 NBA scene. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 46-60
Reggie Jackson(LAC) Points: 13 Rebounds: 03 Assists: 04 Steals: 02 Jackson’s shooting efficiency has gone down gradually and yes, with Paul George gone, his scoring range has rather decreased as the opposing defenses close in. The Guard has scored in the 12-16 points range for the past few games but may as well recover his 16-19 range soon. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 25-35
Jonas Valanciunas(NOP) Points: 13 Rebounds: 12 Assists: 05 Jonas has been a terrific presence for the Pelicans in the middle, rebounding at a high clip and also contributing scoring-wise. The big has usually scored around 15 points and grabbed 10 or more rebounds a game regularly this season. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 34-45
Amir Coffey(LAC) Points: 18 Rebounds: 05 Assists: 07 Steals: 04 Amir has risen out of nowhere and as a starter, he has worked out well for the Clippers. Amir has scored 18 or more in two games straight but can he sustain that for long as his team needs it desperately? Expected Fantasy Points Range: 28-36
Josh Hart(NOP) Points: 21 Rebounds: 09 Assists: 05 Steals: 01 Hart has been one of the most exciting off-guards in the league with his top-notch all-around abilities on display on most nights. He has been in 14-15 points, 9-11 rebounds, and 4-5 assists range during most of the last five games. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 36-46
