NOP vs MIA Dream11: The NBA trade deadline is just a few hours away and by the time you read this, the league could have been plunged in a frenzy as there can be a large number of trades that can change the scenery for various teams. And well, for some teams, the landscape has already transformed and while some have pulled the plug in the rebuild style, others have solidified themselves. Talking about solidify, the New Orleans Pelicans will feature here and square off against the Miami Heat.
The Pelicans will be coming into this on a four-game winning streak and after picking up CJ McCollum from Portland, they have received a much-needed boost in terms of getting a shooter. With Zion still on the injury list, the team has done a great job of building around him and if they even get to the Play-in tournament, that experience will serve them well.
Miami has been doing a great job of winning this season and they are surely aiming for a championship with the way things have been going. They have won three games in a row and they have been helped out by their incredible depth. The team has also been playing some brilliant defense especially since Butler and Adebayo have been back.

Pelicans: How McCollum fits
Pelicans will be without Josh Hart now after trading him and he brought effective defense, a tendency to push the ball, act as a hard-nosed rebounder and his scoring was on the rise too. But see, CJ McCollum addresses one of the biggest deficiencies for the Pelicans that has been a low three-point shooting team and keeps having troubles from beyond the arc. The team has lacked someone who can manufacture the shooting space off the dribble and CJ is well known for his off-the-dribble shooting and his pull-ups, fadeaway, and turnaround shots are well known among the league. The Guard brings a brilliant scoring package and the Pelicans are sure to get a boost on offense with him.
He fits in well in the Pelicans scheme. Brandon Ingram has picked up playmaking at the wing and Devonte Graham is another playmaker in the lineup so the team can run different types of offense with McCollum in the mix. Jonas Valanciunas will seal the paint and do remember with Ingram, Herbert, and McCollum, the team can also get different ways to score. This means the team has now some great offensive balance, an aspect they have missed multiple times this season. Herbert can be an effective defensive option and Valanciunas can reel in big-time rebounds. Can McCollum fit into the Pelicans offensive system straightaway?
Heat: East is wide open, Heat are revved up
Miami has been showcasing tremendous depth throughout the season. Heat has been on-song after building an effective roster during the offseason. The team traded KZ Okpala recently and some writers suggest that they have done so to create space to sign PJ Washington and there can be “more coming” in that regard. So, is the Heat going to make some big-time trade? Do they need it? Well, coach Erik and management know better but yes, something may be brewing here. With Butler and Adebayo, the team also brought in Kyle Lowry and PJ Tucker, talking about toughness and experience in the main-five!
Defense is what makes them special, the team has a tight perimeter defense with Robinson, Lowry, and Butler. Then they Tucker and Adebayo, both players can switch and guard opposing guards/wings while they are also great individual defenders who can give trouble to big Forwards/Centers. This defensive scheme is certainly in play but the wealth of playmakers, shooters, divers, and inside finishers also provides an all-around dimension to the Heat squad. Miami also has deep-bench shooters like Strus, Vicent and Martin supported by Center Dedmon and if not for a solid bench, the Heat could not have mounted such a strong record.
