NYK vs LAL Dream11: In this game, two historical rivals in New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers will square off against each other. Both teams have been a little underwhelming and have started on an average note. While the Knicks are a game above the 50% win mark, the Lakers have only won half of their 18 games.
When Lakers fans saw Westbrook, LeBron, Davis, and Carmelo paired up for the season, many of them thought that their team will go to the promised land easily. But that is now how it works it seems, the quartet is yet to find its rhythm while with LeBron moving in and out due to injuries and now a suspension, the cohesion is missing.
The Knicks have been highly disappointing so far. Despite having four sturdy scorers in the starting five, the team has faded away recently. It is surprising that the combinations have not been solidified yet and there has been a lot of shuffling of rotations. With Julius Randle making much of the contribution, the team falters if he has an off-night.
Host: New York Knicks
Visitors: Los Angeles Lakers
Match Timing: 24 November, @ 06:00 AM
Venue: Madison Square Garden
Knicks: Struggling starters
New York has had a ton of trouble putting up points recently. Kemba, Fournier, and Barrett at the PG-SF spot have continually scored in single-figures with Barrett especially shooting around 30% from the field. The team hasn’t played with a Point Guard who can anchor the ship well and although Kemba can perform that role, his fit with the team looks off. Julius Randle had 34 in the last game but even he struggled prior to that. The Knicks are not the same defensive team as last season and now squander around 108 points a game after holding teams to mainly around 100 last season.
Lakers: Poor defense
Lakers’ defense has been a major issue. The team gave Celtics chances to score 130 and then Pistons put up around 70 points in one half alone during the last game. The perimeter defense is fragile while despite Anthony Davis anchoring the paint, teams have an easy time scoring night against the Lakers. Case in point? Teams like Thunder and Pistons who rank dead-last among offensive squads have scrapped up 110-120 points easily against the Lakers team. If the team fixes its defense, it is going to win a lot more.
