OKC vs POR Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:

Russell Westbrook is struggling. Oklahoma City Thunder are now on the verge of elimination from the playoffs. For they were outmuscled and outclassed by Portland Trail Blazers for the 2nd game in a row, losing 114-94, and now take a 0-2 deficit into the two-game home run.

The 0-2 deficit is not the end of the world though. In a seven-game series, the teams have made comeback in the past from more unlikely situations. It’s very much achievable, and for the fact that the Thunder will be at home for the next two games.

But the manner in which OKC surrendered themselves in the first two games, the way they played, their defense falling apart against the storm called Damian Lillard, there’s not much positive to take from the first two games.

Other than Paul George of course, who played with the same tenacity which he exuded before the All-Star break. But he needs help. Russell Westbrook is the obvious name to toss here, but the 2017 MVP is clearly not at his best. He hasn’t looked up to the task, failing to bring the player in himself which is feared for its breaking athleticism and all round wings.

OKC are failing miserably in the shooting department as well. In the first two games, Thunder have gone 10-63 from three. If a team shoots as badly as that, it doesn’t stand a chance in the playoffs no matter how well it executes in the other facet of the game.

Paul George isn’t playing well either. yes, he may be averaging 26.5 points per game in the postseason, but he is not shooting the ball as can. He is often running into the defenders, committing too many turnovers.

Regular Season Record-
Oklahoma City Thunder:
W-49, L-33
Portland Trail Blazers:
W-53, L-29

Players to watch out for:

Oklahoma City Thunder:
Paul George – He is averaging 26.5 in the playoffs, but the former Indiana Pacers superstar is far from unlocking his very best. The nagging injuries are the main hurdle to why he has failed to rekindle the form he showed before the All-Star. A fit Paul is a deadly George. But expect him to play here.

Russell Westbrook – This is a strange season for him. He broke many records and remains the only player this season to average a triple-double. Still, the consistency he showed in the 2016-17 season, which fetched him an MVP, looks far fetched at the moment. In fact, this is his worst season in terms of shooting from beyond the arc. Thunder are facing a 0-2 deficit, and you can just be sure that Westbrook may bring his A game in this match.

Portland Trail Blazers:
Damian Lillard – One of the league’s smartest guards, Damian Lillard was always primed for big things. For he is a talent which is at par with most of his peers. The way he has started his postseason, it feels that his time has finally come. He is looking way more dangerous than he ever was and looks pretty much unstoppable.

In the first two games, he racked up 29 and 30 points respectively.

C.J.McCollum – In terms of scoring, he is Portland’s 2nd best player this season, averaging 21.0 points per game. But the postseason is getting the best out of him as well. The 27-year-old has scored 33 and 24 points in the last two games.
