Mikal Bridges lay-up DAL vs PHX Dream11

PHX vs DAL Dream11: We are in the second round of the Playoffs and as of now, just eight teams remain in the picture. In the Western Conference, the Golden State Warriors won against the Memphis Grizzlies in the first game and in this match-up, the Phoenix Suns will hope that the Dallas Mavericks don’t do the same on their home floor. Can the Suns fend off an elite defensive team in Mavs?

The Suns did a great job of sealing off the Pelicans four-two as Chris Paul unlocked his primetime games. With Booker back in the frame, the Suns look even more formidable and they will force the Mavericks to play their best game. The Mavs closed out the Jazz four-two and their defense limited Jazz to 100 or below in four of the six games. Although the Mavericks closed out the Jazz, the Suns’ offense is much more efficient and they have more to offer in terms of scoring options for sure.

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis

The Mavericks’ defense can be challenged

The Mavericks played expert perimeter defense against the Jazz and held them below 30% from the three-point line, which is incredible indeed. They were also able to hold them off in terms of getting a fastbreak game going and their defense mirrored the outputs generated during the second half of the season. However, the Jazz didn’t enter the Postseason with a great rhythm and was already struggling with shooting.

On the other hand, the Suns enter with a brilliant rhythm. Although their own three-point shot was not going, their mid-range and driving game has been on-point. Chris Paul is better than any playmaker in the league and unlike the Jazz that didn’t have someone who could open up multiple avenues, the Suns can utilize Paul in a lot of ways as he keeps on putting up big-time points too. He will magnetize the opposition’s defense and that will only make a life for Booker easy while Ayton can also rack up inside points.

The Suns are also well-adept at shutting down the ace players of the opponents. Luka Doncic will have to contend against the length and athleticism of Mikal Bridges, who took both McCollum and Ingram in late games, while Ayton helps out brilliantly in the paint. Booker, Paul, and Crowder are strong defenders too so Jalen Brunson will need to bring his A-Game from the last series. Bullock, Finney-Smith, and Kleber will be huge as perimeter shooters while off the bench, Dinwiddie can be a huge difference-maker.

Fantasy-related tips

Chris Paul has done a great job both as a facilitator and scorer, emerging as the hottest pick in the fantasy scenario. But we can’t overlook Devin Booker who can pump up big-time nights. Deandre Ayton has been a spectacular stabilizer while Mikal Bridges bring high value for decent credit value. Cameron Johnson and Jae Crower produce usually identical fantasy values, so we gotta take a lot at Game 1 to understand the dynamics better.

The Mavericks’ prime player remains Luka Doncic, who is one of the highest-yielding players when it comes to the fantasy scene. Jalen Brunson has shot up in terms of stocks through his brilliant scoring ways. On the other hand, Dorian Finney-Smith’s stocks have risen and he is the third-best option on the team thus far. Reggie Bullock has been a more than decent presence while Maxi Kleber has been having some strong nights.
