IND vs PHX Dream11: The NBA wave keeps sweeping different sets of people. Some of us are writers, some are the readers, and then there are the players out there hustling on the floor after the rosters have been set up through the intense planning by the management of different teams. The game is played both on the court and off the court as big outlets and small outlets roll out previews relating to the nature of the game, fantasy scenarios, betting affairs, etc. So, keeping that in mind, let us talk about the game between the Indiana Pacers and the Phoenix Suns.
The Phoenix Suns have been on fire all season long, showcasing their all-around talent and incredible will to make a push for the championship more than most teams in the league. Of course, they are loaded with the talent, but instead of following big-three models or something like that, they have built a superb roster and bringing in Chris Paul last season has worked wonders.
The Indiana Pacers have had a contrasting ride compared to the Suns. They are nowhere even close to the Playoffs picture as of now and this has been a theme of the season since the beginning. And now with their All-Star Big Forward Domantas Sabonis side-lined, they will surely be short-handed. Remember, Brogdon has been in and out of the lineup too while Myles Turner has been sidelined for the season. Host: Phoenix Suns Visitors: Indiana Pacers Match Timing: 23 January, @ 07:30 AM Venue: FootPrint Center
Suns: Built to win Phoenix has been playing a high brand of basketball and their 18-game winning streak proved earlier that there was a reason they went to the Finals last season. Chris Paul is dishing dimes like it is his breakfast. Devin Booker has caught fire and is dropping buckets after buckets. The wing depth has been the real deal for the team with Crowder, Bridges, and Johnson have given superb two-way production on a regular basis. And with their premier rebounder, paint scorer, and defender Ayton out for the game, they can still be a force on both ends of the floor. Biyombo and McGee give both size and hops in the middle while Cameron Payne has done a wonderful job off the bench of dipping in points and keeping the playmaking train ticking. Jalen Smith has not received many minutes recently but in limited playing time, he has had a more than decent impact and he can be given some decent minutes here(I presume). The Suns are looking in prime touch and are surely the favorites to clinch it all but hey, we are long away!
Pacers: Troubled waters Indiana has been unable to build big winning streaks and their last two wins away from home are far from not a theme for this squad. Pacers have been playing without Brogdon for many games recently but hey, let me tell you even when the team was healthy, they were not making any headways. Myles Turner is done for long-term, Sabonis will miss the next few games while LeVert and Brogdon, two of the crucial perimeter scorers are questionable for the game. Keeping that in mind, the play of Justin Holiday in terms of offensive production and overall effort has been laudable while rookie Chris Duarte has become a dependable isolation scorer. Keifer Sykes and Duane Washington Jr. have done a decent job when receiving playing time but yes don’t be surprised if Pacers make some moves soon and build with a different core. BENCH: Jeremy Lamb, Chris Duarte, Oshae Brissett, Lance Stephenson, DeJon Jarreau, Keifer Sykes, Duane Washington Jr.
Devin Booker(PHX) Points: 28 Rebounds: 05 Assists: 06 Booker is one of the best offensive players in the league and he has hit one of his hottest shooting stretches nowadays. The guard can produce offense from tough situations. Devin is pitching in 28 or more in the last four games including a 48 points game while grabbing 4-6 rebounds and dishing 4-6 assists a game consistently. Devin can be chosen as a Star/Pro Player in the Dream 11 NBA Fantasy scenario. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 39-59
Chris Duarte(IND) Points: 27 Rebounds: 07 Assists: 03 Steals: 03 With Sabonis out and Brogdon not in full flow due to injury plus both Brogdon’s and high-scoring LeVert’s status as questionable, Chris can end up getting more minutes. Duarte has scored 24 or more in two of the last three games while grabbing 5-7 rebounds a game. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 27-39
Chris Paul(PHX) Points: 20 Rebounds: 05 Assists: 11 Steals: 02 Blocks: 01 Paul is number three in the all-time list of players with the most assists and that alone tells you that he is a superb playmaker. The one-guard has been scoring in the 12-20 points range and shares 9-12 assists a game on a regular basis. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 35-47
Justin Holiday(IND) Points: 16 Rebounds: 05 Assists: 03 Holiday at the wing has had a profound impact in terms of scoring to sustain the Pacers’ effort and with Warren out, his role has expanded. The Forward has scored in the 11-16 points range while grabbing 2 steals in three of the last five games. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 25-34
Torrey Craig(IND) Points: 12 Rebounds: 07 Assists: 01 Steals: 03 Blocks: 01 Torrey is most probable going to receive big minutes with Sabonis out. His production has been up-and-down but he can get more touches on offense. I expect a 7-13 points and 5-10 rebounds range from the Forward. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 23-36
Mikal Bridges(PHX) Points: 12 Rebounds: 08 Assists: 06 Steals: 04 Bridges is a dynamic wing and he has done a brilliant job of slashing to the rim and also playing some high-brand of defense. The highly intriguing Small Forward has largely scored in the 10-12 points range lately while grabbing 4-8 rebounds a game these days. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 22-32
