PHX vs NOP Dream11: The NBA is a grueling business, there is a chance of physical hurt, mental hurt, and also social hurt. As you play for a Franchise, there are numerous eyeballs following your movements and not even the best players are immune to criticism. As a matter of fact, the Star Players are rather in the crosshairs of fanbases. It doesn’t mean that these players are not cherished or anything but all the fame and money doesn’t come easy for sure. Still, as the athletes keep grinding on, so will I write, something much easier than putting your body underline in the NBA-styled up-tempo game. So, keeping that in mind, let us jump into the contest between the Phoenix Suns and the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Suns come into this game after beating up the Thunder in a blowout fashion, 124:104. They did so without their leading playmaker Chris Paul but that is barely a surprise for a team that is as deep as the Suns. As Devin Booker basically acted as the Point Guard, you can expect the Suns’ train rolling and them hitting the 50 win mark before any other team in the league by a fair distance.

On the other hand, winning 50 games has become out of question for the Pelicans. They have 14 more losses than wins and have had trouble adjusting even with CJ McCollum in their system right now. This is a team that has played without Zion Williamson since the beginning of the season but yes, they are in contention for the Play-in spot.

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis

Suns: Who can stop them?
This is a legitimate question at this point, who can stop the Phoenix Suns? A team that has won over 80% of the games, reached the Finals last season, and has looked absolutely menacing on both ends of the floor. Yes, they will be without Chris Paul for perhaps the rest of the season but Devin Booker has become an adaptable player and at this point in his career, he is an improved leader who can sustain the momentum created by his backcourt pairing with Devin Booker. Still, to say these two are the only effective options will be far from true.

Mikal Bridges’ slashing game has been in full flow and his ability to score at the rim is surely a plus. He has been a wonderful scorer since January. On the other hand, Jae Crowder is a formidable two-way Forward who gets the job on many fronts while Deandre Ayton’s ability to clog the paint on both ends is a huge help. Cameron Johnson brings effective shooting off the bench and he can be a starter for many teams honestly. A bench of McGee, Shamet, Holiday, and Craig complements the core well. So, yes, the Suns can continue thriving.

Crucial phase for the Pels
The Pelicans have been struggling since the second week of February but they can’t afford to get behind at this point. While it is true that the tenth place holder Trail Blazers will play a tough schedule and will be without their key players, they are not the only favorites for that spot. The Spurs are dangerous with their offensive potency while the Kings can potentially close in with their newfound duo of Fox and Sabonis. That is why the Pelicans need to propel a special run soon and the team certainly has the potential.

CJ McCollum has at least addressed one need, and that is the three-point shooting. Brandon Ingram has seen his ball-handling duties get slashes but yes, he will have to pick up his game to close out the season. Jonas is a huge factor in the middle with his ability to eke out rebounds and also provide consistent offense while Herbert Jones has been exceptional on the defensive end while doing more than his fair share on offense. It all boils down to how Devonte Graham overcomes his shooting slump, if he does, the Pels can be in for the ninth spot haul. Jaxson Hayes can also be a difference-maker down the line.

NBA Scores, Fantasy Basketball Top Picks

Devin Booker(PHX)
Points: 25
Rebounds: 05
Assists: 12
Steals: 06

D-Book has been a great scorer throughout the season and with CP-3 out, he can even expand his playmaking. A 25-35 points and 6-10 assists range can be expected. Booker can be selected as a Star/Pro Player in the Dream 11 NBA Fantasy scenario.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 40-55

CJ McCollum(NOP)
Points: 38
Rebounds: 02
Assists: 05
Steals: 02
CJ has produced offense in myriad ways possible and he has had a rousing start to his Pelicans career and has led them in scoring for most games since his arrival. He has scored 30 or more in three of the last five games while dishing 5 assists regularly.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 30-50

Mikal Bridges(PHX)
Points: 21
Rebounds: 05
Assists: 04
Steals: 01
Blocks: 01

Wing Mikal has been a great offensive presence this month and there is no doubt that he has lifted his game in multiple areas. Mikal has been scoring in the 17-24 points range while grabbing around 4 rebounds a game.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 29-41

Brandon Ingram(NOP)
Points: 12
Rebounds: 05
Assists: 08
Steals: 01
BI has been a stellar presence at the wing and his ability to both score and assist is huge. However, his production has been down scoring-wise since CJ has entered the fray and that is an adjustment he has to make. I expect an 18-25 points, 4-7 rebounds, and 4-8 assists range in the long run.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 26-38

Deandre Ayton(PHX)
Points: 06
Rebounds: 08
Assists: 01
Steals: 02
Blocks: 01
Deandre has been a great presence in the middle for the Suns but with Paul being absent, he will have to adjust his game and set his sights alongside Booker as the primary playmaker. I expect a 12-18 points and 9-14 rebounds range here.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 22-32

Jonas Valanciunas(NOP)
Points: 16
Rebounds: 18
Assists: 04
Steals: 01

Jonas has done a great job on the rebounding end and he has also picked up the slack scoring-wise with his physical offensive game. He has usually been in the 15-18 points and 10+ rebounding range this season.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 30-45
