SAS vs DEN Dream11: Western Conference has always been loaded with a lot of talent and the two teams who meet here are no different. In this game, the San Antonio Spurs and Denver Nuggets play in a back-to-back scenario of a two-game set. In the first game, the Spurs beat the Nuggets by 12 points with a 123:111 score.
Spurs are one of the best offensive teams in the league and they have some incredible guard depth. You can argue that they don’t look like a playoff team, but they are still a highly promising young team and the management will hope that coach Popovich is at the helm for a few more years.
Nuggets have been one of the unluckiest teams in the league. They lost Murray earlier in the year and have played a great chunk of games without him, while an injury to Michael Porter Jr. dealt even a more telling blow. Denver is overly reliable on Nikola Jokic and needs some players to pick up further responsibilities.
Host: San Antonio Spurs Visitors: Denver Nuggets Match Timing: 12 December, @ 07:00 AM Venue: AT & T Center
Spurs: Admirable system San Antonio is second in assists per game this season and whenever I write about them or watch them, I am enamored by how many scorers and playmakers they have. With Murray, you can run the offense in any style, White forms a superb scoring and playmaking guard pairing with him while Jakob Poeltl is also a high-quality passer at the Center position, so you have three tremendous passers in the main five. With Lonnie Walker IV and Devin Vassell coming off the bench, again, the offense is in continuous supply while Doug McDermott’s 13-18 points, mostly from outside, keep the offense rolling. The Spurs are one of the deepest teams at the guard position.
Nuggets: Gruelling season The biggest loss with Michael Porter Jr. gone has been on the defensive end. The Forward is one of the best Forward defenders and not only do you lose rebounds and scoring, but the defense weakens significantly. That is why the Nuggets team which allowed a mere 90-104 points earlier, continuously gives up 110+ points right now. With not many offensive tools to match in the high-scoring games, teams like Spurs have become a nuisance to deal with for the flailing Denver outfit.
