SHFF vs MCI Dream11 Match Prediction

SHFF vs MCI Dream11: FA Cup Holders Manchester City play Sheffield Wednesday in the 5th round at Hillsborough Stadium on Wednesday night (IST). Wednesday know they are the overwhelming underdog against the reigning champion who arrive off the back of another EFL cup at the weekend, betting Aston Villa 2-1 at Wembley on Sunday. Wednesday, for their own part, lost 1-3 at home against Derby County. More worryingly, the hosts have won just once in the last nine games.
City, meanwhile, seemed to be hitting their top-gear at the right time. Pep Guardiola steered the club to its biggest night when it won 2-1 at Santiago Bernabeu against Real Madrid in the Champions League. The Premier League may be gone and heading towards the NorthWest, with the ribbons and confetti set to be red, but City are very much alive in the Champions League and FA Cup.

  • On-loan striker Connor Wickham, who played for CrystalPalace in the FA Cup this season, is ineligible to play for Wednesday, so won't be available for this game.
  • English defender Adam Reach and wingback Moses Odubajo both missed the weekend Championship game against Derby with injuries and remain questionable. The duo will be monitored before the game.
  • A couple of players produced a horror-show at the weekend, most notably, Tom Lees and Kadeem Harris perhaps the biggest culprit for not turning up at all. Expect the duo to miss out here.
  • Josh Windass featured from the bench and managed to score a goal for the team, so he is expected to get a reward with a spot in the playing 11 here.

Sheffield Wednesday key players:

  • Steven Fletcher: Wednesday's leading scorer this season with 14 goals in all competitions.
  • Josh Windass: One of few positives from the weekend for the hosts.
  • Barry Bannan: Wednesday's most creative player this season.

Manchester City team news:

  • Center-back Aymeric Laporte won't feature here for the visitors. The former Atheltic Bilbao defender is yet to have a sustained run-in in the playing 11 since making a return from injury earlier this year, and now it looks like he could be out for a while.
  • Winger Leroy Sane is nearing a return after playing with Manchester City U23s this week. That said, this game may have come too soon for him to be involved.
  • Sergio Aguero is passed fit and should be available for this game after hobbling off the pitch in the Carabao Cup final at the weekend.

Manchester City key players:

  • Gabriel Jesus: Moire than a back-up striker. He has 18 goals for City this season and leads the team with five in the Champions League.
  • Riyad Mahrez: The former Leicester City winger is a player of elite quality.
