Scottie Barnes setting up TOR vs CLE Dream11

TOR vs CLE Dream11: NBA schedule is lengthy and gruelling. This has to be one of the toughest schedules in the world because first of all, you have to travel for half of the season, and to be honest, that has to be tough, changing so many places, adjusting to so many hotel rooms, and I can go on and on. That conversation can be lengthy and there have been some NBA players like former Miami Heat/Houston Rockets player Shane Battier who argued for a shorter season. But for now, we play 82 games per team season, and to add to the count, the Cleveland Cavaliers clash against the Toronto Raptors.

Cavaliers’ season has been a bit downhill compared to January and after looking like a top-three team in the East at one point, they are now in a close battle versus the Raptors for the sixth spot, a vital battle indeed because being in the Top six means the team can avoid the Play-in tournament. So this game is big in that regard.

On the other hand, the Raptors have been a strange team at times, they have struggled at their home floor while being clinical away from home. Despite a thin bench and injury to their two-way stalwart OG Anunoby, the Raps have been doing a great job of giving huge fights on both ends of the floor. Can they come on top in this battle and get closer to the Play-in tournament.

Host: Toronto Raptors
Visitors: Cleveland Cavaliers
Match Timing: 25 March, @ 05:00 AM
Venue: ScotiaBank Arena

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis

The Cavaliers had one of their worst losses in the season, losing to the Lakers 120:131 despite a 17 assists outing by Garland, who couldn’t overcome LeBron’s 38 points effort.

The Cavaliers had one of the best defenses in the league earlier in the season but things have changed drastically. They have especially changed since the absence of Jarrett Allen, who was giving quality help defense and rebounding. Now, much of the burden in the middle has been on rookie Evan Mobley, someone who is an impressive defender but Allen is more of a rugged player who can impact the energy of the oppositions. The defense has been really struggling and that has surely held the Cavaliers back from going on a big run.

Darius Garland has been performing well and is steadily becoming one of the best Point Guards in the league. He has been the glue that holds the offense together and the newly acquired Caris LeVert has not adjusted to the Cavs system and has been coming off the bench. Mobley has been doing a great job as the scorer, defender, and rebounder while Markkanen has been knocking down many shots too. Stevens and Love also provide decent minutes at the Forward position, however, the team’s defense has taken a holiday. If they lose this game to the Raptors, they will have an equal record to them.

The Raptors lost to Chicago Bulls 99:113 in the last game as they played the second game on the second night

The Raptors have shot up to the sixth spot contention and they have inched closer to the Cavs with each week. This closing in has propelled the team to claim the sixth spot at this point and the team will need to put together another winning run and make sure that they don’t fall into the Play-in contention, where they will have to most likely face Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving’s Brooklyn Nets. They are a strong road team but their home record has been below-par and with most of the games at home in the coming window, they will need to be better at home.

The Raptors are full of superb all-around players and with Pascal Siakam and Scottie Barnes in the frontline, the team can employ terrific defense. Talking about defense, the backcourt of Gary Trent Jr. and Fred Van Vleet can also play a hustle-based game and pressure defense. Precious Achiuwa has been huge off the bench and defensively, the team is tight-knit. Offensively, Barnes, Siakam, and Fred are brilliant passers while Siakam and Fred can stick in a bunch of points. And Gary Trent can have some off nights but he has exploded for some 30+ points nights as well.
