Cathay are the ultimate force in the Women’s Super Basketball League. No team is even close to them, not only in terms of consistency but matching them on the court. The champions seem to warp up the game as soon as they walk onto the court, such is their domineering presence on the court. Cathay are used to win games by big margins. How far they are from rest of the teams in the league is clear from the fact that the game they won 101-51, by a big 50-point margin, against ChungHua Telecom in the last game. Second-placed ChungHua are closest to Cathay on the points table, but the sheer gulf between these two teams is clear from that result.
Taipower Women are the worst team in the league and that is something that shouldn’t surprise any basketball fan, for this has been the case for some seasons now. Taipower failed to get on winning boards last season and have won just two games in 2020 as well. If Cathay are used to dominate, Taipwoer are the softest team in the league.
