UTA vs GSW Dream11: NBA trade deadline is my phone has buzzed so many times with both the rumors and the actual trades. Well, by the time you may read this, there can be another flood of trades after some big names like CJ McCollum and Domantas Sabonis got moved yesterday. That is why don’t be surprised if you see more moves in the coming two days. Now, that we have established that, let us jump into this tussle between the Utah Jazz and the Golden State Warriors.
Jazz began the season on a riveting note, winning more than 70% of their games but the absence of Center Rudy Gobert has hurt them especially against elite squads. The team is on a three-game winning streak which has been propelled by the return of Donovan Mitchell and tussling against short-handed or struggling teams as of now. The team may pull off some moves soon but let us see what they can land with the pool reducing by each day.
On the other hand, the Warriors have won a ton of games this season and they are on an incredible nine-game winning streak, going back to their pre-January ways when they nabbing wins after wins. The team had to adjust after the injury to Draymond and their depth has been on full display ever since Klay Thompson has been back.

Jazz: Mitchell is effective but Gobert is needed Donovan Mitchell has hit one of the hot shooting spells that he compiled during December. The player had been in and out of the lineup, and without Mitchell and Gobert, the team crumbled on both ends of the floor. With Mitchell, the burden on other scorers like Conley, Bogdanovic, and Clarkson relax, and his ability to close out games helps in close-match scenarios. Donovan has a varied toolkit scoring-wise and can also elevate his playmaking and rebounding when needed. Udoka Azubuike and Hassan Whiteside have filled in well for Gobert, but…
The but… implies that Gobert is a special player who covers up the defensive deficiencies of the team and when they play a team of Warriors level, his ability to help out plays a huge role. While the team does have multiple options on offense, all veteran players in Bogdanovic, Conley, and Clarkson support Donovan but the team has struggled on the defensive end. This game can be a litmus test for the Donovan-led unit and the team will need to pincer out some quality defense against a team like the Warriors. Will the Jazz simply wait for Gobert to get back to their old winning ways or will they make some trades for a two-way wing perhaps?
Warriors: Can they win against the Suns in the long run? The Warriors’ depth is admirable. Klay Thompson is going to rest for the game and his three-ball was clicking recently. However, that won’t deter the Warriors that much because they were winning when Poole was in the main five. Now Poole, even if he comes off the bench can end up being a primetime contributor and with a solid guard rotation, the Warriors can continue pouring heat from outside. One thing is clear once Thompson and Green both come back in the fray, the Warriors certainly look like a championship team with their wealth of long-range shooting, divers, playmakers, two-way players, and a deep deep bench.
However, there is one formidable foe on the way and that looks like the Suns. Suppose the team finds a way to the Western Conference Finals and go head-to-head versus the Suns. How will that work out? The Suns have been the winningest team in the league, has one of the best backcourts in the league, a deep wing-rotation, as deep as Warriors arguable and place a lot of premiums on closing out games. That will be heck of a series to watch but the Suns are most likely going to secure the home-team advantage and that can be detrimental in the way the series shapes up. Why am I discussing this with Playoffs months away? Well, these are the two teams with the best record in the league and are the favorites to win it all. A Western Conference Finals is as much worth it as the championship for me.

Donovan Mitchell(UTA) Points: 32 Rebounds: 07 Assists: 06 Steals: 04 Donovan is one of the best isolation scorers who has a large number of moves to deploy and with Gobert out, he has to perform a lot of other functions too. Donovan has scored 27 or more in three of the last four games while grabbing around 5 rebounds and dishing 6-7 assists a game.
