Jordan Clarkson celebrating UTA vs ORL Dreamm11

UTA vs ORL Dream11: The NBA trade deadline left behind a plethora of changes and despite Ben Simmons-James Harden swap garnering most of the attention, a lot of other moves went down. This has to be one of the most stormy trade deadlines as not only some shocking moves were pulled, we also saw some teams just ripping their current core apart and starting from scratch around young players. However, other teams were content with making a move here or there and didn’t bring that major changes to the roster. Keeping that in mind, let us jump into the game between Utah Jazz and Orlando Magic.

The Jazz has righted the shop after being in a tough spell after January, losing around 90% of their games till the last week of January. Then the team turned it around and pulled in four games in a row, largely on the heels of Donovan Mitchell, and with Gobert out, this was the best spell the team had after they had fallen apart with their premier Center out.

On the other hand, the Magic has been one of the worst teams in the league and they didn’t make any major moves. The team will be looking to bring in a promising young player during the next draft but the core of the team has a ton of promise. The Magic has been doing a great job in developing the young talent. What will be they do in the upcoming offseason?

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis

Jazz: Mitchell continues to carry the weight and the Jazz has a lot of promise
Donovan Mitchell has raised his game recently and apart from his usual high-quality scoring, he has provided hustle on the rebounding end and also has dished major assists. He is a prime reason for the current winning streak and the win against the Warriors is sure to boost the morale of the squad. Rudy Gobert has been missing from the scene and with him gone, the team is deficient on inside defense, rebounding, and inside finishes. But the team has actually defended well and has played highly motivated on the hustle end of the floor. The Jazz has been putting the league on notice yet again.

Bojan Bogdanovic has had some strong offensive games too and his ability to stretch the floor enables him to pile up points in various other manners too. Mike Conley provides this team a multi-dimensional presence and leadership at one-guard, being a veteran star at this point. On the other hand, Jordan Clarkson ensures that the offensive flow keeps going off the bench and credit is due to Udoka Azubuike and Hassan Whiteside has been key in terms of supplying rebounding, inside scoring, and shot-blocking in absence of Gobert. Trent Forrest has been also supplying quality minutes while Royce O’Neale continues to be instrumental in terms of defense.

Magic: Solid foundation
The Magic has built a great squad with young players. Yeah, their record may betray their core as of now but yes, one thing is clear, the stage is set for a long-term window. While the team is heading to the lottery, can’t they leverage their next draft pick to surround the current young talent with an All-star level player, perhaps a Center who can pile on pain inside? The Magic has been also receiving decent support from Gary Harris off the bench while they have been doing well recently, winning five of their last nine games.

Cole Anthony despite his offensive inconsistencies is developing into a solid one-guard and he can be a terrific option down the road. His pairing with Jalen Suggs has been at its best currently as Jalen has picked up his scoring and playmaking big-time. Franz Wagner can be a centric foundational player at the wing and his ability to score combined with rebounding and playmaking has made him a central piece of the rebuild. Wendell Carter Jr. is my favorite Magic player as he has been a huge influence on the defensive end while grabbing big-time rebounds and improving both his playmaking and scoring. Chuma Okeke is another highly-rated young player who may develop into a viable role player. The Magic’s future looks bright.
