Jasprit Bumrah is hailed as one of the finest discoveries of Indian cricket in the recent years. The fast bowler garnered a lot of attention for his unusual bowling action in his debut IPL season, playing for Mumbai Indians. The India quick brings with a sling-arm action, natural pace, ball-moving ability and toe-crushing yorkers. The batsmen facing him for the first time have a difficult time picking him.

With successes in the past two years, Bumrah has climbed in the ICC rankings – both ODIs and T20Is. In his 31 one-day international (ODI) appearances so far, Jasprit Bumrah has claimed 56 wickets at a modest bowling average of 22.73. In T20Is, he has 40 wickets in 32 games.

Yesterday, Bumrah was named among the three players retained by IPL franchise Mumbai Indians. The ecstatic Bumrah took to Instagram and posted a picture in MI colours with the caption: “The best is yet to come.”
