As the whole country bemoans the Kathua horror where an 8-year old child was gang-raped thrice inside the Devasthan (prayer hall) after the mastermind had performed rituals, Indian batsman and Delhi Daredevils skipper Gautam Gambhir has condemned the incident that happened at Kathua village in Jammu and Kashmir.

Several other sports stars like former cricketer Virender Sehwag and Indian tennis sensation Sania Mirza have also raised their voice against the rape and murder of a girl who was held captive in a small village temple in Kathua district for a week in Jammu & Kashmir.

The incident has been condemned all over the world and the foreign media have reported that the case has exposed the religious friction in the country.

However, the whole Kathua case has taken a Hindu-Muslim twist as the Bakharwal Muslim girl was raped by Hindu men and several Hindu outfits have come out in support of the accused.

Several celebrities have taken to Twitter to vent their anger on the issue and to demand justice for the deceased.
