The final test of the Ashes series at Sydney marks the tenth anniversary of the Pink Test. The Pink Test aims to draw attention and advocate support towards breast cancer affected patients and families.
Here’s a photograph of Australian cricketers donning pink caps with Glenn McGrath to celebrate 10 years of the Pink Test at the SCG on January 2, 2018.
So proud to reach 10 years of the Sydney #PinkTest a huge thank you again to @cricketaustralia for their support. Our goal this year is to raise $1.3 million dollars to fund 10 McGrath Breast Care Nurses for 12 months and support $1,000 individuals and families going through breast cancer. The Pink Test is played Jane McGrath Day, the wife former Australian paceman Glen McGrath who lost the battle against breast cancer. McGrath runs “The McGrath Foundation” which has a network of McGrath Breast Care Nurses around the country.
On the occasion, many noted Aussie cricketers and people from all walks of life joined McGrath to show support to the cause.
