BCCI named 18-men squad for the first three of five Tests against England and excited Rishabh Pant is having some hard training sessions after receiving his maiden Test call-up.

Pant shared a recent video where he can be seen doing acrobatics during the practice session of the Indian team. The flips that he did were quite impressive.

While many Pant fans appreciated the flamboyant wicket-keeper batsman for his acrobatics, Yuzvendra Chahal pulled his leg as he posted a hilarious comment on the post. He wrote, “Apollo circus se offer aya hai bro, Haan kr du after seeing your dis video.”

Pant also took a dig at Chahal’s comment and said, “Yes plz but I’ll be joining with you.

The wicket-keeper batsman was recently hailed as one of the most consistent performers of India-A side by Rahul Dravid.

Dravid said that Pant has matured as a player on the tour and he acclimatized with the situations really well.

“We challenged him a lot on this trip and adapted according to the situation. In the ODI final he scored a critical 64* against Windies A and stitched a 100-run partnership with Jayant Yadav. He showed us all that he can bat differently. He has got the right skills and temperament to bat differently. He is an attacking player but he reads the red ball really well.”

Rishabh Pant was considered ahead of Parthiv Patel as the second wicket-keeper for the Test series against England after Wriddhiman Saha failed to recover from his thumb injury.

After getting his maiden Test team call-up, Rishabh Pant also said that Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s advice has really paid off well for him.

Pant was rewarded with the call-up following a stellar season in the IPL (Indian Premier League).

“Whenever I needed any kind of suggestion, I used to ask Mahi bhai. Whether it is my IPL contract or my wicket-keeping, he has advised me on everything,” Pant said.

“He’s always told me that when having good hands and head coordination is very important while wicket-keeping. He also told me that the body balance can come into play later. That advice has really helped me a lot,” Pant said in an interview.

Pant made his international debut in a Twenty20 International match in 2017 against England. He has played four Twenty20 Internationals and has scored 73 runs at an average of 24.33.
