Chirag Shetty is an Indian professional badminton player. He has played only in the doubles category so far. The shuttler shot to fame by winning a gold and a silver medal in the 2018 Commonwealth Games held in Gold Coast, Australia. He has won 8 BWF (Badminton World Federation) titles with his partner Satwiksairaj Rankireddy.

Chirag started playing badminton when he was just seven. He decided to pursue it as a career when he turned 16. Chirag, along with his partner Satwiksairaj have qualified for the upcoming Tokyo Olympics. They are a good team and have won many titles together. Here is a list of Chirag’ Major achievements:

  • Bronze in 2016 Hyderabad Asia Team Championships.
  • Gold in 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games (Mixed Doubles).
  • Silver in 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games (Men’s Doubles).
  • Bronze in 2020 Manila Asia Team Championships.

Both are bound for the Tokyo Olympics, and their story is also inspiring.”.
