Chirag Shetty is an Indian professional badminton player. He has played only in the doubles category so far. The shuttler shot to fame by winning a gold and a silver medal in the 2018 Commonwealth Games held in Gold Coast, Australia. He has won 8 BWF (Badminton World Federation) titles with his partner Satwiksairaj Rankireddy.

Chirag started playing badminton when he was just seven. He decided to pursue it as a career when he turned 16. Chirag, along with his partner Satwiksairaj have qualified for the upcoming Tokyo Olympics. They are a good team and have won many titles together. Here is a list of Chirag’ Major achievements:

Choosing the right equipment is vital in racket sports. Chirag uses the Voltric 80 E-tune, although it is not very popular among international players.
Shetty is ranked 10th in the world in Men’s Doubles. He achieved a career-high ranking of 7 in 2019.
Chirag was the recipient of the Arjuna Award last year. PM Modi mentioned him last week while addressing the nation in ‘Mann ki Baat,’ “The high spirits of Chirag Shetty and his partner Satwiksairaj is really an outstanding example of courage and commitment. Both are bound for the Tokyo Olympics, and their story is also inspiring.”.
Encouraged by these words, Chirag said, “We surely will give our best at the Olympic Games and make our country proud.”
