Nostragamus Table Tennis | TT Cup Prediction

Ukraine’s domestic Table Tennis competition is in full flow. It’s an open-age tournament, where players, irrespective of their age and experience level can rub shoulders against each other, however, only players with Ukrainian citizenship are eligible to play in the tournament. That said, the players are here on merit, for all the existing participants had to go through tough qualifying rounds.

How does the tournament work?

With forty players drafted for the competition, it’s a long stretch, and a test of endurance and strength as well. A winner gets certain ratings, and the one with the most points wins the tournament!

Game 1 Preview and which player is favourite to win the match!
Nazarii Kovalchuk vs Volodymyr Plishylo: Placed in Group “Green 2”, Nazarii Kovalchuk will be taking on Volodymyr Plishylo in this game.
Kosiv-born Kovalchuk is one of the more experienced players in this tournament, but he is yet to play with the sort of consistency he can. The 32-year-old is a little bit out0of-form, but he has had a positive return from games scheduled for March 21.
He had two straight matchdays with negative output. He lost four straight games on March 10, before ending the day with a 3-0 win over Kotik (8:11, 7:11, 6:11). He followed up that result with another victory, this time beating Mosiuk (11:13, 11:5, 8:11, 12:10, 11:5).

Volodymyr Plishylo, on the other hand, had had a day to forget at the office. In fact, the current day output/performance is the worst since he opened his campaign on February 23, where he fired blank, losing all six games, three by straight sets.
He has failed to open his account today as well, losing both the games today, each by 1-3 to Mosiuk (8:11, 8:11, 12:10, 6:11) and Danyliuk (9:11, 11:6, 9:11, 10:12).

Who is favorite to win this game?

As you can see, Plishylo is literally out-of-form and it will be hard for him to get the better of Kovalchuk, who is in a relatively better form.
