Born in Sherrills Ford, North Carolina, Adam Joseph Scherr better known by the in-ring name of Braun Strowman is an American wrestler currently signed to WWE. Before entering the wrestling world, he used to play semi-professional football. He also played for Hickory Hornets for four years.

He began his career as a strongman and won the NAS US Amateur National Championship in 2011, which earned him his Strongman Corporation Professional Card. He also won the Arnold Amateur Strongman Championships, which was held the next year.

He began his WWE career in 2013 and started training at a WWE Training Centre in Florida. He made his roster debut in 2015, as a member of the Wyatt family. Eventually, in 2016, he got drafted to Raw as part of the official WWE draft where he started his singles career. Since then, he has been a one-man army defeating every opponent and earning the name of ‘Monster Among Men’ in WWE.
