Neesham was born on September 17, 1990, in Auckland, New Zealand. Not much is known about his parents and early life. However, it is known that his interest in the Cricket sport developed at an early age whereby he also went to play in New Zealand U19.
All-rounder and Twitter star, Jimmy Neesham played for many major teams during his ongoing cricketing career. They were- New Zealand, Auckland, New Zealand U19, New Zealand A, Otago, Delhi Capitals/Delhi Dare Devils, Guyana Amazon Warriors, Kolkata Knight Riders, Derbyshire, Wellington, Kent, Trinbago Knight Riders, Edmonton Royals.
Talking about Neesham’s Domestic and T20 franchise career, he began his career with Auckland, but later moved to Otago Volts. The latter worked well for him, as he made some important contributions in the 50-over format in the 2011/12 season, making three 40-plus scores in 7 innings, all of them coming at more than a run a ball. He was praised for his wickets too, taking a career-best 5 for 44 against Wellington and 4 for 23 against Canterbury. His fantastic performances were rewarded soon enough as taken up in the limited-overs squads for the tour to South Africa.
Neesham was picked by Indian Premiere League (IPL) franchise Delhi Daredevils for its season 7 and later next year by the Kolkata Knight Riders for season 8. However, he did not play a single match for KKR due to an injury and was dropped from the squad the very next season.
Neesham played in the 2014 Caribbean Premier League for the Guyana Amazon Warriors, and for Derbyshire in the English 2016 NatWest t20 Blast. Later he was signed and debuted for Kent in the 2017 NatWest t20 Blast.
He was awarded a contract with Wellington for the 2018–19 season in June of 2018. He was selected to play for the Edmonton Royals franchise team in the 2019 Global T20 Canada tournament in June of 2019.
As far as Neesham’s International career is concerned, he made his test debut against India by, scoring an unbeaten 137 runs which were the highest score on debut by a Test number 8 batsmen. In June 2014, he made a fantastic century in his 2nd test against the West Indies, becoming the first New Zealander to score centuries in his first two matches.
In the first ODI against Sri Lanka, on 3 January 2019, he scored 34 runs in one over, including 5 sixes. This was the most runs scored in one over by a New Zealand batsman in an ODI match.
In April 2019, he was named in New Zealand's squad for the 2019 Cricket World Cup whereby he delivered a fantastic performance till the end, reaching the finals and later the hearts of millions of cricket fans around the world.

Alex Macleod-Smith was born on November 10, 1988. She attended high school at St Cuthberts College. She picked up netball when she was 10 years old. She is a university graduate in pediatric nursing which she couldn’t keep up with when she started playing netball professionally. She is a former domestic netballer with the Magic and Tactix. She played for Mainland in the Beko Netball League in 2016 and there she was named their player of the year.
The exact date of when the two met or hit it off is not known, however, the first picture of the both of them shared by Neesham on his Instagram account is dated October 20, 2015.

Neesham first came into limelight as a promising all-rounder in the U-19 World Cup, 2010. He eventually made his T20I debut and later followed by his ODI debut.
Before shifting to Otago, Neesham began playing for Auckland in domestic cricket.
He has been a useful player for New Zealand in recent times churning out crucial performances when needed.
The all-rounder has been part of the Indian T20 League as well. He was snapped up by the team Delhi in the 2014 auctions and was later bought by the SRK owned, Kolkata Knight Riders, in the next season.
