Kane Williamson is a right-handed top order batter and is also the skipper of New Zealand in all formats. Williamson didn’t play the first 3 games of IPL 2021 due to his elbow injury. But he soon returned to score some crucial runs for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the middle order. But a surprise came when Sunrisers management removed David Warner from the captaincy midway and appointed Williamson as their new skipper. Though Sunrisers had a poor outing, Williamson was their standout performer with the bat. He had previously led the team to the finals in IPL 2018.
