Mathew Hayden was a former Australian cricketer popularly known as Haydos was counted as one of the most destructive opening batsmen in world cricket.   • In the year 2003, Hayden was fined some percent of his match fee after he smashed a pavilion window after disagreeing to an umpire decision in a Test match at Sydney cricket ground against England.
  • In the down-under series against India in 2008 the famous ‘monkey-gate’ incident took place between Harbhajan Singh and Andrew Symonds where Matthew Hayden was a witness for the fallout. During the incident, Hayden called Harbhajan Singh some offensive words for which he paid the price as he was charged for a code of conduct violation by Cricket Australia.
  • He was heavily criticized by BCCI and Pakistan legend Wasim Akram when he called India a third world country after his team failed to win a single game against India in a Test series. He marked the ground conditions and inordinate delays responsible for his side defeat.
